How did you decorate it?
I am moving into a new appartment that is brand new and very bare and would like to bring some personality to it. Any suggestions?

Personal touches like photos of friends and family, artwork on the walls, a coat of paint in a pretty color, throw rugs and curtains.

Find your favorite color, create a theme (eg, if you like Moroccan decor, go jewel tones... you like yoga, can go zen Asian or even put a touch of Indian to it... other themes like nascar, jungle etc etc.) Interior decorating is still a very personal thing... make that living space yours!

I built from the bed outward in my place. Get the bed u desire and then a comforter that makes you feel good about getting up in the morning. from there, get some nice artwork and comfy couch or couple of chairs and maybe some shelves or a cabinet to display your pictures and sculptures or nicknacks from your past. also, a nice rug always helps....

Indoor plants and flowers are always good for a homey look. Also placing mirrors in corners will make it look homey as well as larger. Pictures (not too large) of landscapes are also a plus for personality.

Put in stuff that makes you comfortable. Hang stuff on the walls, knick knacks on shelves, little furniture pieces like end tables and things.

Your key word is "persnality". What reflects your personality, put it up in art and paint and decorations. It will make it feel like home to you.

Pictures on the walls and any kind of draperies will bring personality to your place. So will a welcome mat, and the process of moving in or building up articles to fill the space.

Your fave colors, curtains, plants, fish tank, posters, family portraits, carpets, almost any personal touch you put on it with any combination of these items I listed.

pictures are always good especially of family or any interest that you have then your walls wont be so bare
