How are things going over there? Is there war everywhere in Isreal or just certain area's? I sure hope EVERYONE over there is safe!

I'm Israeli. I live in a kibbutz in "Emek Harod" which is one of the northern areas that are bombed right now, but luckily the bombs have never got to our close region (although one Katyusha did hit one of our watermelons fields).
Not all parts of Israel are in danger, only the north, and even living in the north is bearable... frightening, though.

From what my friends in Israel have told me, in the North it's very scary. They're getting hit with hundreds of rockets every day. In the middle, things are tense. People are worried about the rockets Hezbollah claims to have that could hit Tel Aviv. Jerusalem and south of there are safe, but around the edges of the West Bank and Gaza there is also tension.

I am not from Israel although I heard from an Israeli woman who lives near Gaza but on the Jewish side, that people are scared there, I think the situation is worse further north right now....places like Haifa and other northern cities are deserted and people took shelter there....

I'm here in Jerusalem. It's a bit tense, and I tend to check news on the web a bit more often than usual, but that's about it.
For those further up north it's another story.

i am israeli. i lived in ramat gan (tel aviv's suburb) then jerusalem, then moved to paris for two years, then back home. now i write from paris, i work for el al (the israeli airline) and will be back home in a few weeks.
you should think i'd be glad to be far from the troubled zone, but i think of my family, worrying about the rockets that might get to the center.. i watch CNN and SKY all the time...

im in israel..... the war is only up north, but its really affecting the whole country..... the atmosphere is very somber.....
