I think that "Worry" for me has been one of the biggest stumbling blocks to faith and spirituality. It does not accomplish anything positive. It does not help it only hinders. All I can do is the best I can and then leave the rest to my Creator God. How do you feel about "Worry" and have you laid it to rest. I have and I try to keep it there.
Peace Be With You,
Debra

Yes, I have let go of allllll worry. I'm a lot like my Daddy who never worries, but there have been times in my life when I had to remember Hebrews 12:1 1 Therefore let us also, seeing we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us... and LAY ASIDE EVERY WEIGHT. Worry just weighs you down. Jesus said that the worse thing that we could do is be "unbelieving." By believing Him at His Word, He has made my dreams come true and I witness miracles all the time. The prayers and wishes I have yet to see just give me hope for the future. To God Be All the Glory!
I love you Debra.

Wow! I have been in the same place recently. I have worried myself sick for several months, and finally have learned just the past few weeks to let it go, because worry is the opposite of faith, and I've learned that if I keep worrying, all the things I worry about are going to happen until I learn to give it up to God. I am slowly taking one day at a time, as we are supposed to. God grants us each day, and we are not supposed to worry about the next one. One of my favorite passages to reference is Matthew 6:25-34, the cure for anxiety and worry. Then I go right to Matthew 7:7-12. If we do not ask, He will not give. He knows what we need, but He wants us to ask for it, and also to give thanks in EVERYTHING. I have been in constant prayer lately, and I know He will take care of me! God bless!!

I think some stuff I can let go of, and then other stuff, I worry about all the time! Like my kids and their futures. I mean how does a parent not worry about that stuff? I always wonder if we're raising them right, sending them the right message!
But I have learn to let go and not worry about all the stupid stuff I have done in my life! You can't really move forward if you worry about the past.

To worry is to go against God's word. It is a sin to go agains God's word.

1 Corinthians 10:13"There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it."

I have the problem with that too. Sometimes, you have to ask questions of what or why something in your life that's not approve with you is happening. It does takes a while to learn how to let go. All I do is to pray for him to take it away. It truly works, until the next problem occurs! A Christian's life never ends!

I've never been a worrier by nature, but it does sneak in every once in a while. I just have to decide whether it's something I can control or not. If not, I just let it go.
