Be assured, allah is not GOD. He is GOD. He has many references such as the great I AM. Jesus is the son - i.e. a creation of God. That is - as we would think of it - genetically part of GOD.
Pray to GOD, The Holey Father or just plain Father, but always in Jesus's name.
I visualize my own father if I picture anything. Jesus? I picture the commonly known painting, knowing it is likely not what he looked like, but who knows. It really doesn't matter. What maters is that we pray, with respect and sincerity.

The God of the Bible actually has anywhere between 12 and several hundred names, depending on how exclusively you define the word "name".
The reason he has so many names is because each name is a description of a different facet of his character, which is vast beyond compare.
Several of the most important Hebrew names and their translations are:
Yahweh or Jehovah (the pronunciation is uncertain) -- Comes from a verb which means “to exist, be.” This, plus its usage, shows that this name stresses God as the independent and self-existent God of revelation and redemption. This is the ultimate name by which God calls himself when Moses confronts him on the matter at the burning bush.
Adonai-Jehovah -- The Lord our Sovereign
El-Elyon -- The Lord Most High
El-Olam -- The Everlasting God
El-Shaddai -- The God Who is Sufficient for the Needs of His People
Jehovah-Elohim -- The Eternal Creator
Jehovah-Jireh -- The Lord our Provider
Jehovah-Nissi -- The Lord our Banner
Jehovah-Ropheka -- The Lord our Healer
Jehovah-Shalom -- The Lord our Peace
Jehovah-Tsidkenu -- The Lord our Righteousness
Jehovah-Mekaddishkem -- The Lord our Sanctifier
Jehovah-Sabaoth -- The Lord of Hosts
Jehovah-Shammah -- The Lord is Present
Jehovah-Rohi -- The Lord our Shepherd
Jehovah-Hoseenu -- The Lord our Maker
Jehovah-Eloheenu -- The Lord our God
Emmanuel or Immanuel -- God with us
There are literally hundreds of other names and descriptions for God. I believe the main reason that we usually refer to God simply as "God" is because those who translated the Bible considered the names of God to be so holy that they did not even dare to write them... and they are therefore translated to such things as LORD, Lord, God, the Lord God, the LORD God and so on, for different names.
Take your pick.

Its a real shame that anyone has to ask such a question because in this age the chanting of the holy names of the Lord are the prime method for achieving God-realization. So without knowing the names of the Lord how can you chant them?
The Vedas, which pre-date the Bible by many thousands of years, have literally thousands of names of God and thus to list all of them here wouldn't be possible. A little search on this in google will help you. But to give a little background first, we can say that the Lord has a name according to His pastimes, His qualties, His relationships with His devotees, etc. Since the Lord has unlimited qualities, pastimes, devotees and so on, its very safe to say that He has unlimited names. And logically speaking, what else would you expect from the Absolute Truth, the Supreme Personality of Godhead?
So now onto some of His names and some info about them. He is known as Krsna (Krishna) because He is the all-attractive Supreme Person. He is called Rama because He is the source of all pleasure. He is known as Hari because He takes away the material mind and material hindrances of His devotees. He is Govinda, the pleasure of the transcendental cows, land and the senses. He is Gopala, the protector of the cows in the Gokula, the spiritual world. He is called Visnu, the maintainer and protector of this material world. I could go on, but maybe you get the idea by now.
One more thing about chanting the Lord's names. The sound vibration of the Lord's names are completely pure and transcendental. Each name of the Lord has the potency to give the sincere listener the opportunity of direct contact with the Lord Himself. This is the reason why the chanting of the holy names of the Lord are recommended now for spiritual realization. Perhaps you have seen Hare Krsna devotees singing in the streets? They are chanting the holy names of God. Hare Krsna Hare Krsna Krsna Krsna Hare Hare -- Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare. This chant is the prime mantra for God realization in this fallen age. Try it sometime. Hare is pronounced huh-ray. Krsna is pronounced chrish-na and Rama is pronounced with the 'a' sounding like the 'a' in mama.

The name of God is God and also Jesus Christ. Either name can be used when praying to our Father in heaven. I usually picture Jesus after all He is the only one that we even have a small idea of what He looks like. You cannot gaze upon God in his natural state you would be instantly blind but that will change when we go to heaven. I know alot of people say that He does not exist and I feel sorry for them they are missing out on a wonderful relationship and a better peace in their lives but that is the way that it goes. I feel it is important to remember to never hate the person only the sin and sometimes that is hard to separate but it is very important. May God Bless you as you search for the truth. Rmember He tells us seek and ye shall find.

God has many names, he is a personal God, they named him after his character. for example, Jesus called him Father, The Jews called him Jehovah, The catholic called him Yaweh, and many other name ascribed to him in the scripture.
Jesus is God incarnate, not man become God, but God who become man, as the scriptures says in 1John 1:1 "In the beginning the word was with God, and the word was God, and the word became flesh and dwell among men" (This word is Jesus). God is invisible, and according to Jesus, no man had seen God at anytime.
As a true worshiper of the living God, he must be worship in spirit and in truth, no picture or any images nor icon can portray God. Although in the old testament the Israellites saw their God and the elders of the congregation as well as the tribe of Israel eat with God, but with a distance, lest they will be consumed.

He does have a name. However, the name of deity is not often used in the scriptures out of respect for it. Instead, He is referred to as "the Lord" or "the Great I Am", or "God". However, the old testament in Hebrew refers to God the Father as "Elohim" and his son Jesus Christ as "Jehovah".
In the scriptures it says that if you have seen the son, you have seen the father. They are separate beings, but very similar in appearance, judging from the scriptures and other accounts*.

I see that many people gave you good answers about the names of God, so I will try to answer what I picture when I pray.
It depends on what I am praying. Sometimes I need a Father to cry on. Sometimes I need the great Physician. Sometimes I need a warrior. God is all of that and so much more.
A while back, I was having a difficult time understanding grace and my heavenly father. And in prayer the Lord taught me something using a time in my life when I was a child.
When I was little I made mud pies, using all my dad's tools in the garage. Needless to say I got caught filthy dirty and having things that I wasn't supposed to. My father was furious. and shaking so bad in his anger I was so afraid. I went to my mom and she bathed me, washed all my dirt off and wrapped me in a clean soft robe and sent back to my dad.
As I stood before him, soft and clean he took me up in His arms and all was forgiven, because I was his child who he loved.
That is how I see the difference between God and Jesus. Jesus interceded and washed all the sin off, so God can look at me without anger, because of my wrongdoing. I am covered in the robe of righteousness.
Be blessed, in Jesus.

God is much bigger and we with our finite knowledge may not comprehend it.
Every name has a meaning behind it. Names are not just to call. There is a story or meaning behind names. Many parents who give names to their children put all their aspirations for the child in it. This example is given to illustrate the power behind a name.
However, people have given many names to God based on what they found him to be. eg Jehovah Jireh, Jehovah Shammah, Jehovah Nissi,
So God introduces himself as "I am" to Moses. "Alpha and Omega" in Revelation. To add something more,
If you were introducing yourself, you will use a more official sounding name in big circles, however in a home setting, the pet name is OK. A husband and wife may address as 'Darling', 'Honey' and so on. So, a name essentially conveys what God is to you. No wonder, you will not be able to find a name for God.

when Moses asked God answered I AM. His name is Almighty God, it's YAWEH, Heavenly Father, The Creator,. When you are talking to Him, He listens as long as you are sincere. Doesn't matter which name you use. Jesus is God, I guess that is who I "picture" although I don't really think of picturing when I talk to Him.

You won't be able to figure it out on this site, but don't listen to people like flower spirit. God is not a feeling. If you are really trying to figure this thing out go to a fundamental Bible believing church. Check out Charles Stanley's web site. God is too awesome for our little minds to picture.
