Allah is not a silly deity. He is the muslim god, he basically the same god as the christian god. Have you ever read the koran? You will see that they are the same god not just some silly deity. You probably also think they are all just a bunch of women hating terrorists, which they are NOT. But I already know that no matter what we say you will not change your views. Second Its the human nature to believe in a God then the religion come to make this nature clear by defining the God (his name"Allah" , His Characterizations(character), so u may believe there is a God and thats all for u but in fact thats not enough cuz where is the job of the prophets ? just to say there is a God ? the ancient civilizations have a statue to worship only because they believe there is a God but they don't know who ( and there was the prophets job to make it clear to them).

Allah is not a silly deity (check your spelling) but refers to Prophet Mohamed who was just a human being as Jesus and all of us. Why should people believe in Jesus? Why should people believe in Buddha? Why should people believe in any religions? All religions are simply a way of life and one should keep one's religious belief to one's heart and private life! Once this is adhered to, the world will be a peaceful place to live in!!!
