Pin yin (romanized form of Chinese) - Ni(3) shuo(1) han(4) yu(3)

Each of the numbers corresponds to 1 of the 4 Chinese tones - if you don't use the right tone the meaning changes, for instance:

ma(1) means mam or mom.
ma(3) means horse.

If you don't know 'pin -yin'
then you could pronounce it this way - Nee shwau han yue (the 'ue' in yue is like the 'neu' in pneumatic.

Good luck!

There are several ways to say "Chinese" (as in the Mandarin language) in addition to Han Yu. There's also:

Guo Yu (Pronounced "Gwah Yoo") = literal translation is 'National Language'

Pu Tong Hoa ("Poo Toong Hwah") = 'Common Speech'

Zhong Wen ("Joong Wun") = 'China's Language'

When I was in Taiwan I was told to say Zhong Wen.

People on mainland China say Pu Tong Hoa (the communist's came up with that name).

Older Mandarin speakers tend to use Guo Yu.
