You do not need a smoothie machine but you will need a blender/food processor as this is the only way you will be able to shop up the fruit vegetables up small enough to make a smoothie.

I've tried with the frozen fruit and juices and it came out really good in my blender, put it on puree! Mix the fruit first though, then add the juice if you are adding juice, because otherwise it will come out a little lumpy. It works good for me, I am a single mommy with a spoiled 3 year old so extra luxuries like a smoothie maker are not on the top of my need list. Good luck.

we sell smoothies at the restaurant where i work, and we use a blender. one of our recipes is 3 ounces of fruit puree, but you can use fresh fruit, 4 ounces of vanilla yogurt, but you can use any flavor to compliemnt your fruit and 12 ounces of ice You dont have to measure, we do to ensure that we have the same taste each time. Put all in the blender and blend for 2 minutes. You may have to stir it once or twice, but this make a 16 ounce smoothie and they are very rich and creamy.

Yes you can. Just take some milk, add some yoghurt or ice-cream, chop up some fruit (or you could even grate it) and voila.

If you have a blender, even better, just throw it all in.

If you don't have a blender its not very likely, unless you omit the fresh fruit. If you have your fruit well pureed, you can try it with a wire wisk in a mixing bowl. Good luck!

You could easily use a blender and just add your fruit and milk and ice and you are good to go! Good luck!
