Messing about is full of inconsistencies and a few lies. Broken promises and poor timekeeping.

Being genuine is shown by promptness, attentiveness and the occasional romantic gesture.

I think I completely disagree with everything everyone else wrote. If he doesn't want you to know, you won't find out. For the right girl, I have definitely gone to the extremes of being caring and compasionate to get a piece. If he is commited to it, you'll never know until he stops calling.

However, you could try to test the limits of how commited he is. Have him meet your parents. Offer to babysit for a friend and invite him along. Take him to a mall to go shoe shopping for 3 hrs, making sure to pick two almost identical shoes and asking him which pair he likes better and why. If he is just messing around he'll most likely bail unless he really thinks it is worth it. Be careful though because this will make most normal guys bail too.

If by genuinely like a girl you mean want to have sex with them - men are always serious.

If you mean something else you have to wait until the lad is at least 25 years old to work it out. Until then the male brain is still developing. Men don't always know why they are thinking a certain way themselves.

Women do mature more quickly then men, but don't jump on that bandwagon too quickly. Remember your mood swings in puberty? Guys have that (to a lesser extent) as well. Women go through menopause as well and get nutsy too (yes, that is a technical term). You simply must be patient and let the man prove himself over time. No other way, as everyone is different and reacts differently.

Welcome to the crowd. I'm a guy but know what you mean and feel much the same about ladies. There are a lot of skilled liars out there and that makes it very difficult to distinguish the sincere and the players. To my knowledge there is only one sure test (aside from lie detectors) and that is time. The words "hurry" and "good solid relationship" are mutually exclusive most of the time. The liars or scalawags (which is what they used to be called) can't hide their motives over the long haul.
So, much as we want to hurry up and get into a good solid relationship it's just about not possible.

This is an easy question...But then again I am a simple man. I think that when I am flirting and having fun with a women it is just that; "flirting and having fun".

When I truly am into a women it is different because yes I want to flirt and have fun, but at the same time I am going to let her know I am into her. Simple soft touches to the hands or waist or leg, being attentive and alert to her needs, and most of all......I just communicate with her about everything and listen!!!

I'm not a man, but these guys seem to have given pretty good answers. Personally I think if a man touches you too soon then he's probably only interested in you short-term and seeing how far he can push it. Have fun with him, but don't expect more than that. If a guy really does like you he probably won't push it like a player.

Genuinely: Constant pursuit never ignoring you. Basically means he want to bed you real bad and he must have it at all cost.

If they get down on one knee and offer tou a ring then they are only messing.
But if they grab your buttocks and dribble in your ear while they're poking your ring then they genuinely like you.
