What did God do during that eternity before he created everything? If God was all that existed back then, what disturbed the eternal equilibrium and compelled him to create? Was he bored? Was he lonely? God is supposed to be perfect. If something is perfect, it is complete--it needs nothing else.

Q1: Why did God create humans?
A1: To know Him & make Him known

Q2: What did God do during that eternity before He created everything?
A2: If you mean "created everything" meaning the Genisis account of the physical creation. Before the account of creation, He had already created heaven and the heavenly hosts(angels).

Q3: If God was all that existed back then, what disturbed the eternal equilibrium and compelled Him to create?
A3: He was not all that existed before physical creation, He had already created other spiritual beings(angels).

Q4: Was he bored? Was he lonely? God is supposed to be perfect. If something is perfect, it is complete--it needs nothing else.
A4: God is the only definition of perfection. Every "thing" you know about is not perfect. Know one can no anything more perfect than Him. You do not know anything else that is perfect. Even your knowledge is not perfect. If you know God then you know perfection, but still your knowledge of Him(this perfection) is not perfect. If you knew everything about Him, He'd be pretty small.

For example, if you have only an 8.5x11 sheet of paper you can not expect to record all of the contents in the library of congress (130 million items on approximately 530 miles of bookshelves) on that one piece of paper in a format visible to the unaided human eye.

Hope this helps.

You are viewing this in wrong way. You are viewing this as two systems. First thing first, god created humans so that dynamism can be maintained, this dynamism was bit different from the previous one that is why god created humans. But this question will automticaly anhilate if u stop viewing god as some thing, some thing other than us. u r god, i am god, every thing surrounding u is god, so with others, every where every thing is god. If every thing is god then what is created or what is being destroyed, nothing. Every thing is perpetual. yes we are perfection within perfection. dont see god other than your self.
next time when you are going to see in mirror you are going to meet god. Who said equilibrium is disturbed. If u are science student the n u must revise the concept of equilibrium. Equilibrium is not a static process, its dynamic, its continuous. remember the sign used in chemical equation of equiibrium, <_____ _____>, its both way. cant it be possible that humans were there since god and since godd have no stat point so be it with humans.

Part 2 of your question is actually on of the supporting arguments for the existence of the trinity: how could God be perfect love, and perfect love require more than one 'being', and God only be a single aspect? The trinity doesn't really say there are 3 gods. It says, from a human point of view, we can see god as love, and love: the father and son are the 'objects' loving, and the spirit is the actual love.

Part 1 of your question, I guess genesis says it best: God saw it was good to create, and to create humanity.

4This is the account of the heavens an dthe earth when they were created. When the Lord God made the earth and the heavens- 5and no shrub of the feild had yet appeared on the earth and no plant of the feild had yet sprung up, for the Lord God had not sent rain on the earth and there was no man to work the ground, 6but the streams came up from the earth and watered the whole surface of the ground-7the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man bacame a living being.
God needed man to have dominion over the earth, the animals and etc. Genesis 2:4-7
So God created man in his own image. This is not about religion. It is about knowing who our creator is, and why we are seperated from him, and how can we get back to him.

God is very loving. In the eternity before creation He existed unchanging - just as He does now.
He did not create out of need but out of the eternal plan to glorify Himself - which is always His purpose. His planned glorification was to show His attributes to others, attributes like holiness, love, mercy, justice, grace, patience etc.
The three persons of God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, who are the One God answer this most completely (as Biblical Christianity explains to the point where mystery takes over - the inability to completely comprehend God). Before God created anything, the persons of the Trinity continually glorified each other. Without this diversity in the unity of God, such as in Islam, there is no activity by God before creation.

We will have that answer and more when He comes.

The Bible however, tells us that the God Head decided to make man in their own image. It didn't say that they didn't create anything before this earth or man. If God is a creating God why would he just create this earth and humans alone? He had created angels long before man that is why Satan was able to fall before man or during the creation of man.

Do you want the TRUTH or more myths? YOU and I were created to REPLACE satan and his demons over this Earth! GOD originally intended the Angels were to beautify and populate the Earth!--Instead, they rebelled and WRECKED the Universe into a state of ruin and decay! That left GOD with a back-up Plan:Create man in His own IMAGE! To think, plan, act, speak, and CREATE like Him! He is creating Royal Sons and Daughters to RULE with Him for eternity! GOD is love! It is only natural that He would want to SHARE His creation! The angels REFUSED to love, share, give, and beautify the Earth! So now GOD is testing certain humans to see if THEY can resist satan and his demons and QUALIFY to RULE with Christ! WHY did you think Christ is called the "First-Born of many Brethren"? Adam and Eve FAILED to OVERCOME the devil! Christ proved that it CAN be done with your Creator's help! YOU are in training to become a Royal Ruler over the Earth---and then the vast Universe! I refer you to the first 3 chapters of Revelation concerning the rewards of the True Christians!

We don't know the answer to that do we? You say if something is perfect, it is complete, it needs nothing else? Well tell that to God. I'm sure He will be glad to learn that from you. Some day we will know the answers to these mysteries. Some of us anyway.

Why does anyone have children? To take pride and joy in seeing them grow, achieve, and have happiness.

You are assuming that this Earth and we humans upon it are the first and only creation of God. That seems unlikely, considering the vastness of eternity.

The glory of God is to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man.
