Of course. I am part of a mentoring group that meets every other week. There are six men in the group, between the ages of 25 and 53. Five of us are married. The sixth was divorced a couple years ago. It is a time to share, grow together as men, talk about issues in our lives. We have a study course by the late Dr Ed Cole that we are (suppose) to be using. Sometimes we actual get to it. Often we just talk, advise, pray for and support each other.

I was able to find a job for one of the members a few years back that he has turned into a career. We have helped out financially when members have needed it. We my wife was fighting cancer back in 2001, the members helped out with meals and other support when we needed it.

All this within the "confines of the church". In fact, successful relationships is what the church should be about. A family, not just a group of people who visit the same building once a week. (Its that "love thy neighbor thing" Christians are so hung up on.)

I do not see why not. Of course it should be a good start that you have your faith in common, but it takes alittle more than that. There needs to be the ability to communicate very well with each other. I have found in the two main relationships That I have been in that if you do not make the time to talk you can send your marriage to the pits. It is very important. But as long as you have things in coommon you should have a good relationship.
