It is being conscious of Christ in everything you do. In the choices you make, in the thoughts you think, in how you treat others. Its being considerate of him to live a life that pleases him.Knowing that he See's your progress and your failures. And he will guide you in your mistakes and failures, and will reward your good deeds that others dont see or appreciate. It is also Knowing he is with you, and that his spirit is in union with yours as a Christian.
Knowing that you are never alone, even when you feel you are at the loneliest place in your life. Knowing that when everyone is standing against you, he is with adoring you as his own.

There is a spiritual movement that says that Christ did not come to actually 'save' anyone, or that he was once and for all time unique, but rather that he was the 'pattern' that everyone should follow and could become.

Wrong question.Christ's conciousness is The Holy Spirit that Sees all and Hears all and Writes all down waiting for the Last days. The books spoken of in scripture.
We are in the last days because we have refused to worship the One True God. That One is Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior and We should Praise His Holy Name.
But the devil and wicked men are creating false religions to lead away foolish women and men just as in the garden.
Religion is a man made thing(what ever it may be). Nothing is forcing Americans to do anything but the devil and weak mortals who want a feel-good religion that they can call a church is creating new churches and denominations every day.Arragance and Pride cause people to create a religious group that will glorify themselves instead of Jesus Christ. The Bible tells us that this was coming in the end days.
Zechariah 7
. 4 Then came the word of the LORD of hosts unto me, saying, 5 Speak unto all the people of the land, and to the priests, saying, When ye fasted and mourned in the fifth and seventh month, even those seventy years, did ye at all fast unto me, even to me? 6 And when ye did eat, and when ye did drink, did not ye eat for yourselves, and drink for yourselves? 7 Should ye not hear the words which the LORD hath cried by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity, and the cities thereof round about her, when men inhabited the south and the plain? 8 And the word of the LORD came unto Zechariah, saying, 9 Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother: 10 And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart. 11 But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear. 12 Yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the LORD of hosts hath sent in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore came a great wrath from the LORD of hosts. 13 Therefore it is come to pass, that as he cried, and they would not hear; so they cried, and I would not hear, saith the LORD of hosts: 14 But I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations whom they knew not. Thus the land was desolate after them, that no man passed through nor returned: for they laid the pleasant land desolate.
Matthew 13:15 - For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
Acts 7:57 - Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord,
Acts 28:27 - For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
2 Timothy 4:4 - And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. Source(s) King James version of the Holy Bible
