Have you ever noticed how many Chinese restaurants are located next to a vet or animal hospital and wondered...?

I know a chinese restaurant in my old town closed temporarily because of a healthcode violation. I can't remember if they found a cat or a raccoon in the freezer, but it was something disgusting like that. It was in the newspaper too. Also, cats and dogs can be pretty cheap when you think about all the ones that are euthanized every day. I heard that some countries have gotten busted for using euthanized dogs and cats for pelts and labeling them as a different animal. Just stop eating meat, because cows, pigs, and chickens are way more disgusting and unhealthy than cats or dogs ( i dont know about the rats though, that's pretty disgusting).

A local boy from the 50th state and Manapua is a well known and popular item there and there was a rumor going around that CATS are used as meat. If it is or not I am gonna say... Noooooo.....

The health department would be racing to which ever place that did and closing them down in a heartbeat.

Also I have heard that some filipinos likes to eat dogs.
I passed a house in an area I used to live and noticed that they had at least a new dog every 3 months.

In America, I doubt it, but I live in China and dogs are regular food here...a bit expensive, cats less often and good rats are hard to find. You have to understand the history of China before you pass judgement....unlike America with its wealth, China faced famines and people ate to survive...now it is an acquired taste.. I am a white American living in China and am often offered dog meat. I dislike it as it is a heavy meat and not easily digestible. Also understand that the dogs are not raised as pets but as food animals as are chickens. We eat many things here that would bother you, from snakes to sea worms but I grew up here and find none of these foods repulsive.

I hope not ! But I saw not in America. But who knows what the foreigners feel is good enough (or cheap imitation with spices) to cook with when they come over to our country. Now that you said that, I don't feel I will eat anymore Chinese take out.
