I am an American..
and yes though none of my two kids were planned
YES I do feel it is my obligation to make the sacrifices both small and big for the sake of being the person who could either, mess them up or set them up with the tools they need for their adult life.
I also have found that whenever you sacrifice or compromise for your loved ones or other people in your life..that you care about deeply.. The sacrifice ends up not being so much of a sacrifice because it comes from believing this is what is best for all concerned..
A Sacrifice coming from the heart turns into a blessing every time..
yes there are things I would not sacrifice for my children ..ie: the awarement that my children know I am still a person b4 being mommy..my faith, - autonomy..but when it is this case.. I continually show that my core beliefs can be integrated in my children's life..leaning towards that these are also lessons learned for them..
all a labor of love is my summation!

I have made numerous sacrifices for my family, including my grandparents, parents, husband, children, grandchildren....it is what we are supposed to do. How can we expect this world to improve if we don't? These sacrifices are labors of love, and I would not change them for anything.
I am an American.
