As a short guy to another, there are a lot of reasons why women tend to not go for short guys. It proves that women can be just as superficial as any man can be. The main reasons I have heard from other women why women don't like to date a man shorter than they are is the fact that if her date is shorter than she is, it makes them feel less attractive. Another reason is the stereotype that short men are weak and won't be able to protect them.

Take heart young man. Don't let being short get you down and make you less confident in yourself. Since you can't stand tall physically, stand tall in character. Package yourself accordingly. Practice good grooming, wear nice clothes and get your behind in the gym. Also try to persue women who are around your height and size. If you flirt with a woman and she gives you the cold shoulder or rejects you, move on to the next one. In the end, she is losing out on a potentially terrific man in you. :D

Let's see, I'm 5'10" tall and I like the man to be my height or taller. That's because I am attracted to long athletic legs and arms and the height gives me a sense of security and protection. So if I like men my height or taller, I am sure there are women out there your height or shorter, that you would find attractive and they you.

To get a woman interested, flirt a little but not too much. Don't be overbearing or come across as needy. I personally like confidence. Include her in conversations, do nice things for her, be polite. Just the little things that make a woman go, "aww, he's so sweet." Intellectual conversation is also a must. No brains no chance.

To tell the truth, I did date a guy that was slightly shorter than I, once. I dated him because he was hilarious and easy going, and that attracted me to him more than anything else.

And just think, to some women out there, you are tall to them. Or if not that, you are just the kind of guy they are looking for. Keep your eyes open.

Some girls just don't like short guys, It's not anything truly about the guy it's just some girls don't like standing next to a guy shorter then them because it makes them feel huge.

Short girls go for short guys because they're usually taller then them. I like my guy to be the taller one, but that's easy since I'm 5'2''. Show them your personality, walk tall, do whatver you gotta do to take the focus off how short you are. Otherwise, go for the short girls :-)

I've thought about this a lot. I'm short but I like tall guys. For me, I think it's a primal thing in the sense that I feel protected by having a large male mate. But I'm just one female. Just be yourself & the right girl will come along.

I ALWAYS fell for short guys - my tallest boyfriend was 5'10. Most of them were between 5'5 and 5'8.

My husband is 5'8.

Short guys tend to overcompensate for their lack in height so they tend to be extremely aggressive and competitive in everything they do - this is a huge red flag to women so just be yourself. I actually dated a guy who was 15 yrs. older then me when I was 21 and he did everything from deepening his voice to always being a hard a** about everything. He's still not married to this day.

I have nothing against short fellas at all...in fact I am told that ALL guys will be taller than their mother....don't know if that's true or not! Just be who you are...and if a women has issue with your height..then she aint the right one for u!!
