The heat makes you sweat which burns calories.
So, probably heat. Just don't let the sun burn your sking too much!
But, right now it has been in the high 90's here in Ohio for the whole week so far. I wish it was snowing right now :o)

Both the elements are very much needed to maintain the body temperature and other function of the body. During summer, we crave for cold and during winner we look for more heat. The Nature has created both. The body gets heat from sun in the day time and the moon gives us cool effect in the night. The process of generating heat for the body is done with the help of nostrils. When we inhale air by out left nostril, it cools down our brain up to a certain degree and after the brain can not tolerate the cooling limit, the right nostril automatically starts functioning to supply the required amount of heat. This process of breathing simultaneously by each nostril is totally controlled by the brain. The brain is like a generator and it has a certain degree to accept heat and cold and our nostrils keep doing their job without any disturbance.

Are you in reference to weather wise or are you in reference to when you have an injury? Your question is rather vague. I don't know which thing you are actually talking about. For me personally if you are in reference to weather, the heat is better for my body. I suffer with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Cold weather and damp rainy weather makes me hurt more than hot weather.
Now if you are talking about a muscle injury or something similiar to that, the usual procedure is alternating from heat for 15 minutes and then ice for 15 minutes for 1/2 hour 3 times a day.
Good luck and I hope this helps!

a balance heat and cold is a good one for our body. too much heat will cause skin irritation and rashes, same goes with too much coldness. Too much is not good, just an enough amount of temperature that our body can take.

I think that training from youth has a lot to do with it. I'm from the Northeast, and can hardly bear the heat in Atlanta. But, my husband's grandchildren were born and raised in Florida; when they visit us in Atlanta, they shiver with cold!
