no it's not bad. I used to have a really heavy french accent when i first came to the states and it's pretty much gone now. And people can;t tell im from somehwere else. People used to LOOOVE my accent. I didnt like it. Because people would alwyas ask me me questions. I miss the attention now!!!

If they hear that your accent is like jamaican, european, russian or whatever they would be like oou where you from you accent is sexy!!! and then they see and hear that you are hispanic. People get really annoyed. Because they reside here and don;t understand english. lol

When you think about it, we all have accents. I am from NJ and when I travel I am told I have an accent. So no one is accent free. To the British, we all have accents and the people down south would say the same thing about us northerners.

everyone who is not from a native speaking country (england, australia etc.) has a an accent unique to his/her country and I would call it an 'identity'. This is the ‘identity that is beautiful to the language. I would not say that it’s bad in fact I would say it’s good.

BUT if you’re not from a native country and speak with an accent of a native speaker then I would say ‘get a life’

Its good as long as what you say makes sense. A little accent is attractive (depending on the origin) French and Italian are usually nice to hear. Its a cute thing....

No! at least when in Rome or Napoli try to learn the local jabber, most people are forgiving if you mispronounce. I remember my dad trying to sound and imitate like the different persons talking with him, most found this charming and not the least bit offensive, but thats the past, now we are super-sensitive and full of pc crap, till we are too weary to express our true feelings and motives, hence they dampen free speach, free spirit, and individualism. Look how they go after, ( the N.O.W. gang) the strong women, such as Ann Coulter, She has the right to be heard right or not right. I rather like the persons that speak their mind and fear not the silencers, book burners and the like.

I hope not, I do, with a regional accent. I don't mind if people can heart where I'm from, it's part of my identity.

Not really, no.

As long as you speak with proper verbal grammer in a professional situation, then how the sounds are pronounced should be irrelevant.
