Has anyone reading this actually experienced astral projection. What happened?

It's a fact. Look into how the USA government uses Astral Projection and Remote Viewing. I would also recommend that you try it for yourself. A great book to start with is "Astral Projection for Beginners" by Edain McCoy. It has easy to follow instructions and also covers how to protect yourself. Good luck in your search. Yes it occurs naturally by dreaming or meditating. Here's how it works. At some very basic level, every physical manifestation in the universe is an outgrowth of one thing. Since we are connected, we can go there, on this very basic level. So in a way, astral travel is no more unusual than walking around to different places. It just occurs in a different space.

I am sure when I was younger I was able to Astral Travel only around my house though normally to the front door before I was pulled back. A friend of mines dad was able to to travel long distances and was seen in his astral form by his mum quite often.

Yes I have done it and was not in control. Zooming off here, shooting away over there. Problem is your thought process is not good enough for this without practice; so it's a bit like an accelerator on a car only having a stop and a flat out setting.
Scary stuff and I haven't done it for a good while.

It's a fascinating idea, one that science has secretly taken quite seriously in the past (e.g. "remote viewing"), but it doesn't seem to have any evidence to back it up. I believe it is possible for energy emanating from us to transcend our dimensional realm and touch upon alternate dimensions, maybe pick up fuzzy pictures through a time/space spiral of some kind, but we're a long long way from projecting our consciousness clearly to another point in time.

Astral projection is not real. It's misinterpretation of dream states and hallucinogenic drug use.

Give it a try and it never happens.. care less? and... well. it happens.
Alot of people can say fantasy but.. I was ready to rule foul until it happened.
Not vary exciting kind of just walked around my apartment.. through a door. ... and scared myself awake shortly after.

Wow after reading answers Ill have to advise you no it doesent KILL YOU though it will scare you at any turn. Scare = right back in body.

to tell you the truth. yes its real. I was into it a couple yrs back. it takes alot of work though and the rewards are small. I did learn that I am not my body but a soul inside a body. and once you realize that you look at everything differently
