I think they do pray for their firmness in faith and for more people to willingly accepting God's will. Followers of all other religions do also the same, because they believe that God exists and God always gladly answers their prayers. That is why all the religions continue to expand despite grave misunderstandings and brutal persecutions.
Who knows suddenly another day you will shout 'eureka' at His loving visit to your heart. Usually, the one who seeks Him can see Him more easily, like a thirsty man will jump up when he feels the coolness of water.

I pray everyday that God will make my thoughts agreeable to his will, and I pray the same for others. And as far as what goes on in other peoples bedrooms, I dont want to know, that is their business.

Our Father who is in heaven, praise be to your name, Your kingdom come, may Your will be done on earth in just the same way as it is in heaven ...
When Jesus' disciples asked Him to teach them to pray, He gave them the above model. It is not something to be quoted verbatum, but intelligently applied to our own lives and our communities, our countries and indeed the whole world. I know of many Christians besides myself who follow this model to pray each day.

you sound like people have no choice or responsibility to change and no hope... genetic bondage to a behaviour? sounds oppresive
if you have a friend who is doing something self destructive, shouldnt you find a loving way to warn them... or are you saying its God's will for them to be destroyed and butt out???????? sounds fatalistic
