It depends on whether it stays personal or speaks about the company. If the company is referred to in any manner, then it is reasonable to be assumed as company communications and not personal opinions, and be monitored and treated as such. Sorry, but first amendment freedoms don't gaurentee your job if you're slandering employees, managers or your boss, or the company as a whole, or posting sensitive information. If your company has a policy of only these designated individuals may make public statements about a company, then you go and blog about your company, it's reasonable for them to terminate you. You violated the company policy.
If it stays entirely personal and does not mention the company in any manner, then you're entitled to do or say what you want.

I don't think the bloggers intend them as official company communications, but if you put your company's name on it, then you are acting as a representative of your company, whether you like it or not.
If you want to talk about your company in your blog, take care not to mention it specifically, or give enough identifying information that it's recognizable.
Most companies will have something similar in their Codes of Conduct:
"To ensure that information is communicated appropriately and effectively, certain policies and procedures have been instituted. The most important of these is that only employees who have been formally designated to do so are allowed to speak to the public on behalf of the division. Any time you make a comment about CompanyName business plans and/or performance to someone outside CompanyName in a setting where you are representing the division, you are speaking on behalf of CompanyName. Please remember that this policy includes posting messages on websites, whether under your own name or under a pseudonym, about (CompanyName)-related matters."

I would think readers should see them as opinions. But, who is to say that a company wouldn't or couldn't use a blog as another tool to leak some news or manipulate a situation? Just a theory.

If you admit that you work at a company, what you say in your blog is said as a representative of that company. If you stay anonymous, it could be taken as personal opinion.

Disagree - Publishing of ones thoughts in a public forum invites the greatest part of free speech...
Though if you... dont think people are going to read it.. and treat it like an announcement from you your mistaken.
Depending who you are.. it might be kinda hard.. to differenciate. but for the most part blogs need to be stated.. for you know.. obviousness sake.
