1) Because, it seems that it is in their nature. There is nothing scientific or anything like that. 2) Another reason that they lie is because they've been socialised to lie. From generation to generation, people have taken it as granted that they should lie, and hey they do. They are taught to do so. 3) Sometimes, speaking for both men and women, lies are just the solution to get out of sticky situations

you mean a reason yes? not a sweeping generalisation of all male population, becasue if you throw women into the equation i think you'll find its us women who lie more.

they probably initially lie because it saves the nagging that most men get when a woman starts going off the deep end, they say the simplest answer cos no matter what it is,
a woman will say, what were you thinking, WHY? when ? what?
or does my blooming bum look big in this, even if it does, he doesnt care!

why do politicians lie? why do parents lie? why does 90% of the entire human race tell lies?

Maybe because they think it'll be easier and they can get out of a huge confrontation. A guy who lies doesn't necessarily mean you any harm, in fact often it's quite the opposite. There are times when it's better if you ask me, simply because it's kinder. And of course, women lie too!

ahhh....because I will tell you why...what these others didn't tell you...because they sneak stuff around your back...no matter how good a man may appear to be they are underhanded and sneaky...they willl trick you in a new york minute if they can get it past you......like this one guy I knew he smoked and he knew his wife hated it and couldn't stand the smell of it and was even semi-allergic to it so he really tried hard not to do it...............although he snuck behind her back and smoked them when he wasn't around her....and then tried to hide the cigarettes under his seat and spray on cologne and eat candy to cover it up...he did good at this for awhile...but one day his wife drove his vehicle and found them and she flipped out................she was so mad............she started yelling why did you lie about it.......instead of just telling me and me getting mad and knowing the truth...he said....because the thrill of it .....is so much fun.................Men get thrills out of sneaking and lieing about stuff...............That my friend is what makes them lie for.....Women on the otherhand.....don't get the same thrill out of lieing............therefore they don't lie like men

They don't want to be lonley and hurt and its the only way often to get a girl they really like to give them the chance to get to know them, as girls get so many offers they reject guys for any pathetic reason and are overly fussy.
