Do you think a child is a baby until they are 2 or 3? Or are they toddlers as soon as they turn 1?

They are a toddler when they can toddle around and get into mischief. Whether that be semi walking and crawling or full walking. It has nothing to do with their age. They stop being a toddler when they are fully aware of there abilities and stop falling down alot. But technically a the term baby is considered until they are five yrs old. If you were to ask a doctor most would classify a 4yr old a baby. Think of the term baby. A baby is someone who needs someone to do things for them they need help or assistance with most things in life. Most 4yr olds I know still fit this definition.

I think a child becomes a toddler @ the age of 3.I have 2 children I still consider them my babies though and there 4 & 5 yrs old.

Personally I considered my daughter to be a toddler the day she started walking and could do somethings on her own this was when she was 2.

Birth to 1 month = Newborn
1 month to 12 months = Infant
12 Months to 3 Years = Toddler
4 Years = Irritating little kid
As for my baby sister, she will be "the baby" until she is 40.

age three. Toddlers in my oponion are self dependant little people. When you have to stop doing everything for them is when they are a toddler. So really it could be age 2 but age three is when they start developing a real peronality of their own.
