the very fact that you have a heart to please them is evedence of a child to be proud of. you are already off to a great start.
often, the easiest way to get a parents attention and make them happy is the same way we get our friends attention: figure out what they like or deem important and delve into that.
if your dad is into sports, AND you do have a desire to be althetic, why dont you join a sport and give it your all?
if your mom is religious (say Christian), AND you are as well, why dont you join a study group or a short-term outreach. you will be blown away at how much you get out of it, and your parents would be just as pleased.
the only thing is, don't do something unless your heart is in it. otherwise you are just being fake and trying to please others. And if your parents truly cared about you, then they want your happiness as well. Just dont go off the deep end with some bizzarre desire. :-)
hope that helps

That's a very general question.
As a parent, myself, the best thing my children could do is be TRUE to themselves. Follow the simple guidelines to a fruitful and heathly life.
Do the basics..do well in school, be good to yourself and others. Stay away from drugs, and other bad influences.
Most important, show your parents you love them and appreciate them.
Is there something you are worried about?

What has always made me most proud of my children is when they show they can take care of themselves - as in showing self discipline and motivation. When they come up with ideas, set goals and accomplish those goals with a minimum of outside help. They are now adults, have good jobs and I continue to be most proud of their independance and self-confidence.

(Eph 6:1-3) . . .Children, be obedient to YOUR parents in union with [the] Lord, for this is righteous: 2 “Honor your father and [your] mother”; which is the first command with a promise: 3 “That it may go well with you and you may endure a long time on the earth.”
So Be Obediant :) Don't talk back. Listen to them, and it will go well, and they will be proud!

Be yourself. It isn't your responsibility to make them proud, it is their responsibility to see that. Don't go for the negative attention thing, it is too hard to get over when you are an adult. If you are the best person, with faults that you can be, then your goal would be to take pride in yourself

Your parents should be proud of you no matter what you do as long as you have put your best foot forward and stood on your moral ground.
