If you have a strongly held belief, should that not govern every day of your life?
If you do not follow every observation of your religion, Is there any point observing it at all?

GOOD QUESTION
I would have added and if you do not want to follow the teachings is there any point calling yourself a follower of that religion.

Of course the exception would always be the ones who are new to the religion and still growing.

Very good point. Actions speak louder than words. If people don't put in to practise what they are preaching, they're just bigots. Many 'religious' people are guilty of this. It happens in most religions too. A person's relationship with God is personal not communal. God looks at an individual's character and not their chosen method of worship.

There are those who live and breath goodness some follow a religion but it's not compulsory.
