Karma is your actions be it good or bad. You are to reap the rewards of your actions when the time is right, but not your time. The rewards are either good or bad based on your 'karma's'.
Karma is in direct relations with reincarnation. Sometimes, we do not reap the rewards of our action in this life but in another. For example, a child born with some defect will be reaping the rewards of its karma based from another life, perhaps that child committed an unjust to another and now has to repay in a similar way. The drug lords seem to live a fabulous life and die without suffering, but he will pay in another life, maybe he is that defected child.
This will explain why some are better off than others, materially and spiritually.
You may not believe in this stuff, but just keep an open mind about it and reason it out, you will see, it makes perfect sense.

To me, Karma means that whatever you give out or do comes back equally to you. When you do something good, you are rewarded well in the long run. When you do something bad, something bad is done to you or happens to you. Basically, "You get what you deserve" in a sense.

The mystic law of cause and effect (Karma) is the essence of reality.
So basically if you do good then good may come back to you and if you do bad then bad will come back to you !

What you give away always comes back to you, sooner or later, sometimes with interest.
And the more bad stuff you give away, the more interest you're likely to get on your return...

What you do effects your life. Buddha taught that right thought leads to improved life. Unhelpful thought will lead to negative consequences in life.
