It's supposed to be a compliment but it didn't work.
The context you give clearly showes that the guys liked what they saw. But the way they told you indicates, that they were not very good at making first contacts to the other sex.
I wish them good luck and would like to see you dance... :-)

I've actually said this to girls before, & always meant it as a compliment. In fact, to say a girl looks good enough to be a stripper is a very high compliment. I don't consider being a stripper to be a bad thing, as I have talked to a lot of strippers, & they are often normal, nice girls who are just trying to make a living. They happen to be beautiful, & confident enough in their beauty to strip, or they realize they are going to make a lot better living dancing topless than they will working the drive-thru at a fast-food joint. Many are paying their way through college, or attempting to support their children, & simply need more than $5.15/hr. to do this. It's really not fair to lump strippers with crack wh0res. So, if these guys said this to you, they weren't implying you had loose morals. They merely thought you were very lovely, & that you could make a good living in that career field.

Means they were probably perverts. Not an insult though, just a very lame and shallow compliment, but a compliment none the less. Kudos on the dancing ability and stripper body ;)

it really depends of how you feel about yourself and you body image. if you are confident and feel good about the way you look then you might be more able to take dumb comments like that as a compliment. some people who look down on others for being exotic dancers might take it as an insult because they associate stripping with porn and prostitution that is not always the case.but I'm pretty sure the idiot who said this to you thought they were giving you a compliment.

properly if u are a stripper then its a compliment. if ur no longer a stripper and a guy instructed u that then its in all likelihood a compliment. if ur no longer a stripper and a woman instructed u that then she is purely in all likelihood jealous that she cant dance.

well hon i would be insulted because after all how much respect could they have for you if they see you as a piece of meat, that they can get their jollies off of, you really need think about what you wear. maybe you should talk to someone in that "profession" and see how they feel, why they are into drugs and drink so much, why a lot of them have trouble finding that special someone, why they isolate themselves from everyone else i could go on, but i think you get it. all the best

well since they seem to enjoy strippers then I guess that would make it a compliment wouldn't it?

I think you are just fishing (keyword FISH) for attention here on Y!A, because OMG I am like so hot but I don't know it and like OMG these guys are like totally checking me out and I don't know why.

You are sounding real silly right now.

It depends on how you view "strippers". Either they think you have a great body or you dance like a stripper.
