My daughter just got braces put on 1 month ago and the orthodontist said she will probably need them fot at least 3 years. I guess it goes by how bad your teeth are.

MY 13 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER DOES. SHE HAS GOT TO HAVE THEM FOR ABOUT A YEAR AND A HALF. THIS SEPT HER TIME WILL BE UP. SHE REALLY HAD A HARD TIME AT FIRST. WHEN SHE FIRST GOT THEM PUT ON THEY HURT REAL BAD, SO BAD SHE COULDN'T SLEEP FOR 3 DAYS. I FELT SO BAD FOR HER BUT HER TEETH REALLY NEEDED BRACES. HER TEETH LOOK GREAT NOW AND WHEN THE BRACES COME OFF THEY WILL BE BEAUTIFUL.

It really depends on how misaligned the teeth are. Some keep it for an average of 1-2 years. Its less or more than that for everyone else.

I have Invisalign, the clear tray braces. They are great, and I only have to wear them for 9 months. Good thing is, no one knows I have them unless I tell them.

I have braces and I am set to have them for 21 months. You'd be amazed how fast they starighten your teeth. It all depends on the teeth though

I only have to wear mine for 2 years but my teeth are not bad. It depends if you have an overbite how bad it is, if you mess with your teeth in the process that can slow it down, if you miss apointments, how old you are. (the older when you put them on the longer I think is what my dentist told me)

I don't have them on anymore, but I did have them for about 4 years, then a retainer for another 3-4 years. (that was about 10 years ago)
