I just finished potty training my daughter. I guess I missed some accidents because now when I walk in the front door it has a strong smell of urine. I have already tried Fabreezing the place and it actually calmed the smell down some. But I still smell it I think it may be in the couch. Does anyone know how I can get that smell out?

Here's what I had to do... I rented a carpet cleaner, and cleaned all the carpets.. they're only like 40$ for 2 days.. the come with an attachment for upholstery, but you have to rent that separate, and get a different cleaner. THEN Febreeze the place.

I had to go through it twice, and if that doesn't get the smell out, then nothing will. Good luck.

Febreeze isn't meant to take out urine. It only hides the smell of things that don't set in, like body order, cigarette smoke, or dog fart.

Your best bet is to rent a carpet cleaner. They're more heavy-duty than the ones that you buy at the store anyways. They come with attachments for the furniture. Usually the price is very good, I rented one - with soap, total cost was under $50.

You could always hire a carpet cleaner - but with having 5 kids and 2 on the way - I'd rather just take an hour or so and do it myself than pay all of that money!

Next time - buy those plastic underwear/diaper covers. They work wonders when you're potty training!

Odorban.. you can buy it at walmart.. and it does work. I've used it for all manner of left over smells in the house. It even eliminates cigar smoke odors from furniture and carpets. It can also be used to clean surfaces as well as a fabric refresher. It doesn't cover the ordor, it eliminates it.

You need to find out where is it first. And then get warm water with some baby shampoo, and then pour it in top of the area and right away put whit towel in top of it and either step on it or put your arm on top of it and put presser.
Repeat the towel step until all the water is out and smell it if the stink still there do step one and two again...
Good Luck!!!! It should work I have done it 1000 times as I have 3 kids my self and with lots of kid’s sickness and spelling on the floor or beds it works like magic...

I would go to the pet store and ask about the products to get pet urine smells out. Or, if you know it's in the couch you could get the couch cleaned, or rent the cleaner and do it yourself.

Good luck!!

Febreze actually makes smells like that worse. They only mask them for a little bit.

Urine Gone for pets works really good on smells.
