Now, we wonder then the word "life" must have a compound meaning to it, must mean more than one thing. Now, when I begin to think that, I thought, "There must be more than one meaning to life, because, what could be greater than life?" Life has many meanings. It depends on which a way you look at it. And your life is what controls you. You have your living, your moving, your being is life. And it depends on what kind of life is within you, the way it will control you.So life is a great thing. We all want to live. And when I hear David speaking here in the Psalms, and saying, "Because Thy love kindness is better to me than life. My lips shall praise Thee, and I long to see Thy power like I have seen It in Thy Sanctuary. My soul thirst after Thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is."
Now, many people think that drinking, smoking, gambling, running around, dancing, they call that life. But that is perverted life. That's death. It certainly is. The devil has perverted that life, and you think it's life, but it's death. That life gets so miserable. What the people call today life, it gets so miserable until they take a pistol and blow their brains out. That couldn't be life, what God was speaking of.
Life itself means an existence. So then, if Thy lovekindness is better than life, then what could be any better? Because God alone has Eternal Life. If we can get that straight now, it will be easy for us to see the great picture God sets before us. How that someday that everything that isn't of God will vanish and perish and go away.

The meaning of life is not a question to be answered, but an event to be experienced.

“To do good thing in the world, first you must know who you are and what gives meaning to your life.”

“The sole meaning of life is to serve humanity.”

“Thought means life, since those who do not think so do not live in any high or real sense. Thinking makes the man.”

“There is no meaning to life except the meaning man gives his life by unfolding of his powers.”

“Life has meaning only in the struggle. Triumph or defeat is in the hands of the Gods. So let us celebrate the struggle!”

There is not such thing as the meaning of life. Life is the meaning itself, it is the meaning to all that exists, for everything that exists exists inside our living consciousnesses. There's no world outside ourselves: everything is concealed deep within our own consciousnesses, that are all part of a single Unity, which I like to call the Source. Life is the expression of that Source: it is the way for existence to manifest itself and to express itself in a physical form. Life is the meaning of the Universe.

The meaning of life .... the answer to your question can be different, depending on what people are raised to believe by their parents, or their culture, their backgrounds, their everyday life experience....
For me, life is the most beautiful gift, a gift from God.... I am not talking about this life, but about what some people refere as "the afterlife". I don't know if God meant it like a present to us, or He was just bored so He accidentally "invented" us.....or, as I have read in the Bible, He made us cause He needed someone to look after His creation, .... but I do know that I am grateful to Him and to my parents that I am alive.... and I hope I will have a pretty "after life" .
Regarding our earthly liefs, I consider that we are here to learn.... We go through all kinds of experiences and we must get something from each and every of them.... We must learn to love, to sacrifice, to give up our pride.....Here on Earth, we modelate our own souls .... by the choices we make in this life, about how to react when we are faced with difficulties, we decide what we want to be like in the after life

The "meaning of life" is that you were born through biological processes resulting from the mating of your father and mother, you live & grow and mainly strive to pass on your genes by mating with someone yourself, then you die and your body becomes fertilizer and basic elements to produce yet more life (plant and animal) on the earth. That's it. Enjoy it while you can.
