I seem to remember seeing a documentary where Easyjet said they require an individual passport for a child of any age.

They will need soem sort of photo ID, and a passport is the only official one at that age, they may also require a letter from the parents indicating their agreement to him travelling with that person. Best thing is, as in all these type of things, ASK THE COMPANY.

Yep, passport!
RYAN Air allow you to fly to IRELAND without a passport
BUT MUST HAve Photo ID...
To young to drive, so must use Passport as I.D

A passport, if I were you I wouldn't even go if you don't even know that. Even a two year old needs a passport now.

He will need his own passport. Children can no longer be put as additions on parent's passports anyway.
