This is the great means I can in my opinion describe it.... *First of all, make certain you know the way to do a steady braid. Grab your hair like you are hanging it a million/two up after which together with your thumbs and index palms divide the "part up" phase into three identical components. Cross the left phase over the middle one, after which move the correct phase over the brand new middle one (which was once at the left.) Now clutch a component of hair from the left aspect of your head, and upload it to the left component of the braid, and move that over the middle side of the braid. Then, you do the identical factor at the correct aspect - upload a component of free hair from the correct aspect of your head to the correct component of the braid and move that over the middle piece of the braid. From that factor simply repeat that system till the braid is going right down to the backside of your head and also you run out of hair. Then you'll be able to preserve braiding the tail right into a steady braid and cozy it. It appears relatively hard to start with by way of looking it, however whenever you train you can get the grasp of it. Hope my recommendations helped! Kind of complex to provide an explanation for with out displaying you. Any questions, suppose loose to e mail me ~Amanda

Is there someone else you can practice on? That way you can be sure you're not pulling too tightly. I used a book from the Klutz Press - Braids & Bows A Book of Instruction. It has easy to follow step by step instructions, is spiral bound so it lays flat, and has other braids, like ropes and fishtails, too. It has great illustrations to show you how to do the braids on yourself.

Do you remember those big barbie heads from the 80's? I had one of those and practiced and practiced braiding her hair, but I bet you could find the instructions on googe. I agree with the other answerer saying that you should get a mannaquin head and practice braiding the hair. Good luck!
