At the time of death the soul leaves the material body, the soul has a spiritual form and this form is constituted of eternality, knowledge and bliss.

The mind also replays all the events that occurred during the course of ones life, those activities determine the destination of the soul or self, if spiritual activities have been a lifetime priority then the experience will be of happiness and pleasure beyond your wildest dreams.

However if the activities have been somewhat more worldly, then another material form will be granted to perfectly match the mentality that has been created through non spiritual activities, the experience at the time of death, in this situation is not so pleasant.

It is extremely important to use this human form of life to analyse this knowledge, personally I can tell through my own experience, that if you develop spiritually, you will never at any time regret the choice, as the pleasure attained on the spiritual platform, has not even a close counterpart in any material activity.

I would say the experiences are real in the sense that people have the experiences. I don't think they are lying about it. But I would also say it's probably a brain malfunction and nothing more.

Do you ever have dreams where you are observing yourself in the 2nd person instead of first person? NDEs sound a lot like that, only more real.

Additionally, NDEs happen all over the world, and invariably, people experience an NDE that aligns with their preconceptions about life after death (even if they don't believe it, they are exposed to their cultural norms).

It's probably a half dream-half awake state caused by brain trauma.

i havent had any personal experiences but know a lot of people who have had
and NDEs have been one of the best sources for me personally that there is an afterlife , when you hear children brought up with a religious background describing the same experience as one who was brought up in a christian background etc

i wonder what you are reading though because i highly reccomend anything by Dr Raymond Moody on the subject
he is a wonderful author and has studied them at great length

I was so sick.
Turned out to be food poisoning but at the time, in the middle of the night, I just couldnt stop throwing up. When I couldnt stop, long after my stomach was empty, I cried out to the others in the house but my loudest yell game out as a weak, gasp. My body continued to spasm in pain.

I knocked a vase off the shelf to rouse my family. When they arrived, I couldnt get up off the floor, I was so weak. But when my mother lifted me up, I realized I couldnt make my mouth work or my eyes blink. I thought, "this is it... something has killed me" but nothing my panicy thoughts could summon could make my hands move or my voice return. I was as limp body and they laid me on the floor when they ran to call an ambulance.

Suddenly........ the pain stopped. I was so relieved, I didnt think yet that this might not be a good sign. My breathing continued but grew less each second. Eventually it gently stopped. All at once my thoughts became clear - more clear than they've ever been my whole life. As my family paniced and began to respond, I didnt feel my body any more. I felt like I was a bubble of presence now. I could sense in every direction at once - easily. In that clarity, I knew I'd poisoned myself and I knew instantly that I would not die tonight.

Soon the pain would return and I'd get my mouth back. I made a list in my mind, in perfect order and perfect comfort, of what the doctors would want to know when I reached the emergency room. I knew I might pass out again so when my mouth returned, I calmly listed my symptoms. "Cold hands" "spasms in stomach" "eyes and mouth stopped working for a while" "food poisoning - bad hamburger".

I lived, obviously. But that moment - when I was just a perfect bubble, hovering near but not in a body. I've never been so comfortable or clear of mind before or since. I've never been so peaceful. If I had died then, I'd have been sad for my family but I, myself would have been fine. I knew I'd never leave them for long and that a vast eternity awaited me and them. We'd be okay, eventually.

It was unspeakably beautiful until my body awakened. But even then there was a peaceful residual that got me through the night.

Thats as close to death as I've ever personally been.

I had one, Saw my body laying on the bed, the room and the light shining through the window. Every thing was very bright especially the light. I heard nothing, but was drawn to the light. I refused to go and then was thrown back into my body, hard. I hurt and was sore all over for weeks. Felt like I had been hit by a truck.....
