I know what you mean pops I got a ticket for pulling off the road on a busy highway.I was about to turn right and wanted to get out of everybodys way,the cop told me the shoulder was a not a turning lane, but for emergancy situations. If you stop in the middle of a busy highway it gonna cause an emergancy. You know that SOB behind you he gotta stop that gonna cause a wreck.

I am a cop and I have a standard. I write speeding tickets for 15 over, unless a school zone then write everything. I will write for no license and insurance. If i pull you over for having a light out, then it is because it is unsafe. I won't write you for that. If you run a stop sign or red light, you get written. I do not care if you are a friend of mine or the most beautiful woman in the universe. I do the same thing for all because if I have to go to court, it is easier to say that i treat every body the same.
I have compassion, but after the 100th person starts to tell me the same sob story, that is more then likely a ploy to get off, it gets old.
The best policy is to admit that you messed up and deal with it accordingly.
A lot of agencies are cracking down on traffic infractions because of the amount of damage a car crash can cause to people and property and a persons finances.
Would you rather have a person pulled over for speeding and that person not run into somebody, or would you like the cop to let that speeder pass and have him crash into, say you? How about the one time the cop does not deal with the stop sign runner and then a little kid get hit?
Think about it.

I am going to say that the laws of the road were set out by the Government of The US in what is called th Uniform Vehicle Code in 1926. The rules are there for the protection of everyone on the road and it is in the interest of everyone that you follow these rules. Remember driving a automobile is a privilege and not a right. If you do not obey the traffic laws you will receive a fine. And if you are a person that is so hard working and do not have the extra money to spend then I guess you need to obey the laws. If you speed because you are late for work wake up earlier. But in all cases obey the laws. As a Criminal Justice Major and someone soon to be joining my states State Police I think that it is important to have these laws to protect society.

As a Corvette driver, I have been pulled over quite a number of times, over the years. I've found highway patrol are pretty decent people - normally I'm just speeding (not breaking any other laws). I'm polite & as honest as I can be (without incriminating myself) and I try to show that I have paid attention to things like road conditions. I get the impression I get far more warnings/ far less tickets, than some other "professional speeders".
City cops however - ALWAYS issue a ticket if they pull me over (they've even tried to entrap me, dumbasses - I don't fall for their tricks).
BOTTOM LINE - if you break the law, accept the consequences.

entrap you? they try and convince you to speed when you wouldnt? thats odd, but funny...anyways...for one thing, speeding is a strict liabiliy offense...you do it, you get a ticket, no matter what the circumstances!! now, doesnt mean it always happens, one time i got one, another time i was just issued a warning. just be as honost and nice, but not @$$ kissing nice, as possible. they know when they are being played. and now that youve had a few, they know you are a repeat offender, so less likely to take it easy on you. STOP SPEEDING!!! you know they are ticketing you, so stop! sometimes cops and municipalities have incentives to write tickets, i know the ones back in my home town do. and cops usually are a little nice. we've all heard that if you are only going five or less over the speed limit, youll hardly ever get pulled over, they dont have to give us that breathing room! they can write a ticket for 1 mile over if they choose to. so no more complaining that the cops are just doing their jobs and obey the laws, thats pretty simple. trust me, i used to speed all the time! i got one ticket and thats it, i stick to the five over rule now and havent been pulled over since, even though ive driven past cops that are radaring people. is it really that much worth it? think of how much in insurance those tickets are costing you.

Stop driving drunk or stoned or high on crack and maybe they will leave you alone. Police officers have to put up with stupid people everyday and you just add to it. Maybe one day you'll understand but until then stay off the road before you kill somebody. You should be glad all your getting is a ticket and not jail time.

Sometimes they do sometimes they dont. I think that the main thing to remember is.. they are used to people trying to get out of the ticket so they're probably reading too see if its bs or sincere, then they are used to getting yelled at so they are hardened as they walk up and 9 times out of 10 if they are going to let you go, they'de do it early..

well darling .those police officers are working hard too! And whom do we call when in need of assistance eh? They are human ,make mistakes too ,but my safety lies with the police officers and they are always polite ,because you know ,what happens if they pull over a loco, and the nut start shooting from inside his car? If you are pulled over ,you must indeed be doing something wrong. I rest my case.

How about paying attention to your driving so that you don't break the law and get pulled over? It's not the cop's fault you did something wrong.

stop your b*tchy azz whining! i've read several of your answers to other questions. you are a sarcastic little snot. you intentionally seek out questions that allow you to express your "wit". i find it hard to believe, with the attitude displayed in both your questions and your answers, that you are respectful to the police or anyone else on the road for that matter. i hope you get pulled over as often as you drive.
