I was one of the orginal "Goths" back when it was it was not cool..you know fan of groups like the Ramones..oh yeah you wouldnt know that..you claim that your "punk" and "goth" but you dont even know your history..anyway i think i would look cute in a corset

I thought all you guys were dead already, and the Ramones are punk rock, not gothic rock. Close enough though.
I'd suggest getting in with the trannies, you'd fit right in and you can still hang out in the goth clubs and such. Don't ask me how that happened, but there's a realistic option for you.

Go for it. The teeny goths and mansonittes around need someone to show them how.
You can always do what I do, when people ask if you're a goth say, no, my mum just died...Always gets a reaction. Before anyone complains it's the first anniversary of her death so I have to laugh.

There are quite a few goths who never gave it up. :)
Hey, look at Siouxsie Sioux, for example...(okay, so she gets to, 'cause she's a rock-star...but the elder-goths are still around. Wiping baby-goths faces with Wet Wipes, no less...) Do whatever makes you happiest!
By the way, you're already half-way there! You've certainly got the attitude to be a snarky elder-goth. :D

Everyone has their own style. I personally think that it is ok if it is tasteful. You do not want to wear black lipstick and dark eyeliner in your 30's even the young ones look funny wearing those things. If you can get away with wearing a corset I say go for it.

I don't know much about Goth, but from what I understand, it is a form of nihilism. The kids are just playing at it. Show them how to do it.

Dress how you like.
I personly love the styles from "Hot Topic".
Although I dont consider myself, punk, prep, goth, or any of those things. I am who I am. I wear what I want. Some days I dress "punky" other days it's more "preppy or girly".

You can never be too old. Goths revere the dead, and as you were statistically closest, you'd be like their ring leader or head black clothing guy or whatever.

You should dress however you feel like. My wardrobe used to consist of nothing but black clothes. It's easier to coordinate whatever I wear.
