No, it's fine. As humans we seem to judge by physical age over mental age. If you both share common interests, care for each other, and age doesn't seem a factor, then don't let it be a factor because someone outside of the relationship finds it a problem for them.

the older a person gets the age difference becomes less of an issue. I can't say if it is good or bad because there is a 9 year age difference between me and my partner.

Yeah whatever, no fifty year old looks 35. Don't kid yourself grandma. But no, it is not too much of an age difference unless you are loaded and he is not.

Follow your heart. Age isn't as important a consideration when you are older as it is when you are younger. It's a bad idea for a 15 year old to date a 30 year old - but once you are an adult it's less important.

They say that men take longer to mature than women so hopefully he's met that obstacle. Other than that, if you have common interests that will bond the two of you for years to come, age has no bearing on a relationship between adults.

No, not at all. I went out with a girl who was 48 when I was 36...she was a marathon runner, had a nice body. Saggy boobs, but after all she was almost 50...some things you can't help.

Definately! At 50, she is going to start looking old and wrinkly any time now, and do you really want to be dating somebody that looks like that?
I give it a double thumbs down.
