Some men, of course, do think it somehow means they are not as good as some inanimate object - and many, many men are jealous of their "rights" to the woman's body, and threatened if the women indicate they can be happy with anyone/thing but them.
Also, LOTS of people are still VERY shy and embarrassed about most aspects of sex - they might enjoy it, but for heaven's sake don't talk about it, don't masturbate or catch them doing so, and OMG, sex toys cause the ultimate creepy-crawlies!
As for me, I think they are terrific and can be lots of fun to add to the pleasure while having sex - and yes indeed, ladies, if you want to turn me on playing with your favorite, I'm your guy!

Because most men don't understand that most women can not orgasm without some kind of clitoral stimulation, so they assume that because a woman wants to use a vibrator, they don't have the skill to get her off

Same reason we sometimes feel uncomfy with seeing the pics and vids the guys look at. The woman with huge breast, nonexistant waiseline perfect blonde hair. Cause they feel like they can't compare to an object that can satisfy us for as long as we need.

Not sure about that! I think that as men self pleasure themselves regularly (and yes I do) then why shouldn't women - how they choose to do that is their own affair - enjoy it and have fun!
