Why do ppl feel disapproval against Islam without any knowledge about it?

Salam! Why is that ppl have this huge disapproval against Islam but they never read the Quraan, they don't know nothing about Islam but repeating their misconceptions very loudly claiming they have right? I am just wondering about this phenomena.

"Could it be because they are racist? They teach hate the Christian and Jewish 'infidels'; and 'don't associate with them".

Hummm, think about it. " ---> maybe because they re-written the Truth what was once released??

There are some very good books out on the subject. One of the best is Kingdom of the Cults. This is a huge book with Islam just a part of it. An excellent book that can be read online in a couple of hours is "The False Prophet" It is very well researched and really sheds light on the continuing saga of religious struggle and pretty much proves that we are nearing the end times. I wouldn't say they are racist because there are Muslims from all races.

Lets look at both groups. There are Muslims who do not represent their faith well. These are the extremists and the uneducated (who I don't think really read the Quran either) who will get their back up over the slightest argument and behave badly (that's putting it mildly). The good Muslims are not doing enough to counter them, and the media hype over the terrorists and their links to Islam don't help either.

Then there are the non-Muslims who don't know much about Islam either and make assumptions based on media reports, heresay etc. They are bigoted and perhaps a little insecure in their own faith.

History demonstrates that this is NOT a new phenomenon. From the beginning of time, evil doers and their worshipers have been real hard at perverting the true message of ALLAH (SWT) and, trying to eliminate it. Islam forbids killing of innocent people. The Qur'an says:

“ … If anyone slew a person unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land it would be as if he slew the whole humanity: and if anyone saved a life it would be as if he saved the life of the whole humanity.” (Al-Qur'an 5:32)

Killing any innocent human being, whether Muslim or non-Muslim is not allowed in Islam. Even in the circumstances of war, this aspect is not to be ignored. The first caliph of Islam, Abu Bakr As-Siddique (R) is reported to have commanded Usama ibne Zaid (R):

“I command you to do ten things: you must not kill a woman or a child, or an elderly person; do not cut down trees, or vandalize homes, or wound a sheep or camel except if you must eat it; do not drown a palm tree, or burn it, do not be treacherous; do not be cowardly; and you will pass by people who have devoted themselves to monastery life: leave them alone with their devotions.” (Tarikh At-Tabari, V.3, p.210)

The Qur’an not only says that a Mushriq seeking asylum during the battle should be granted refuge, but also that he should be escorted to a secure place. In the present international scenario, even a kind, peace-loving army General, during a battle, may let the enemy soldiers go free, if they want peace. But which army General will ever tell his soldiers, that if the enemy soldiers want peace during a battle, don’t just let them go free, but also escort them to a place of security?
This is exactly what Allah (swt) says in the Glorious Qur’an to promote peace in the world.
Tell me now, is it fair that ISLAM is seen as ‘violent’ religion???

Why do people do this? Because they're lazy-brained and won't do the reading for themselves. They rely on the media and their church leaders (if that's the case) to paint the ugly picture. Then they don't have to do any reading, but go by the picture alone to judge. That's certainly the easier route than picking up the Holy Qur'an and actually reading it.

Damien, you have COMPLETELY taken these verses out of context. Allah gave the Muslims the right to defend themselves. For 13 yrs, these new Muslims were persecuted by the Meccans. They were pillaged, tortured, jailed, raped (the women), and killed. For 13 yrs they did not protest, because Allah hadn't given them the authority to do so. Finally He did, and said to "kill the infidel" WHEN IN COMBAT. In the Arabic, it says to kill them while in combat. The English translations don't always state this. Now, if anyone is in combat, they are to kill those who are trying to kill them? OF COURSE, unless they wanna be completely wiped out.

As for wars... Muslims are NEVER to start wars, they are ONLY to defend themselves. Terrorists are wrong in what they do, and so are the Zionists. Muslim terrorists are not true Muslims, they kill not in self-defense, but in attack. They are the WORST examples of what Muslims are, simply because they are NOT Muslims and they are fighting AGAINST what's written in the Qur'an.

You do not start war. Period. If attacked, in combat you kill. Period. That is the command give to the Muslims in the Qur'an. And, btw, any and all POW's are to be treated with most kindness. Got that? MOST KINDNESS.

You see how these verses have been taken out of context? If it's not fair or right to do that with the Bible, then don't do it with the Qur'an.
