Being a first time mother is very rewarding. The bond between a mother and child is so strong it takes us by surprise when we feel it for the first time. I remember thinking back 12 years to that day. It was so surreal at first. I wasn't sure that I was doing the right things at first, but I trusted my heart and my love for my child. And 12 years and another child later hasn't changed a thing. They are my world. It's a love like no other. I could never imagine my life without them the same as I couldn't imagine what life would be like with them before they came along. You have to be a parent to understand this feeling...because there is no explanation for the bond and the excitement and joy of being a parent.

It's true, you do fall in love with your children, over and over again. I have 4- and I love each of them dearly. There are days that I wouldn't take millions of dollars for any of them, and days that I would give them away for free! I know the feeling about wanting them to hurry up and get out of the house too! (lol!) You never stop loving them, they do some of the most wonderful things, and then turn around and drive you nuts about something. I was totally overwhelmed when my 1st was born, it was the most AWESOME experience! I too never thought that I could love another person so much. You do though, more and more each time. I have 15, 14, 4, & 2, girl, boy, boy, girl. I love being a mother, it has been the most rewarding experience and at the same time the most stressfull, an trying times in my life. You get scared and excited all at the same time. Enjoy them while their little, they grow up so fast- I miss my cuddling time with my older ones, and they change alot as they get older.

Oh yes, it was overwhelming almost, I would cry because I loved her so much. Now she is 6 and it's the same, I get so happy when it's time to pick her up from school. When she was a baby I would wonder if I should ever have another baby because I couldn't picture myself loving another huming being as much as I love my daughter, but Mom's who have more than one child say that you do love them all that much.
I have this friend who is counting the days until her two sons are old enough to "kick out of the house" as she says it, her husband too, they can't wait until their kids are 18. I don't understand it all, the kids are still in elementary and they can't wait to have them out of the house. It shocks me.

I know how you feel. I'm crazy about my 3 year old. When I found out that I was pregnant with a 2nd child, I thought that I could never love someone else as much as I love him. Boy, was I wrong! I never thought there would be room in my heart to love one more child just as much as I loved my first. I love them both equally. Sometimes it's hard to leave them to go to work.

It is quite amazing...
I read somewhere that you know you love someone that much when you hug them as close to you as you can, and it's still not close enough. It describes it perfectly! And I also wonder about having more kids and still loving them all that much. I guess it just happens...
There is no other feeling in the world greater than the one you have for your child.

isn't it the best feeling in the whole world!? Someone told me that when you have children, you don't just love them, you fall in love with them. that is one of the most true things I have ever heard.
