Do not use your fingers to feel blindly down the throat.
1. Lay the baby head down along your forearm and give five sharp slaps on the back.
2. If this fails turn her face up on your other arm and give five sharp thrusts to the lower breastbone, using two fingers only.
3. Check the mouth and remove any object you can SEE. Do not touch the back of a young child's throat . If the child is suffering from an infection this can cause swelling and possibly total blockage.
Repeat the whole process as often as necessary.
IF the baby becomes unconcious begin rescuscitation and call an ambulance.
Baby resuccitation open airway by gently lifting chin and tilting the head slightly. Look, listen and feel for breathing.
Check circulation using brachial pulse located on the inside of the upper arm midway between should and elbow. Place upir index and middle fingers on the inside of the arm and press lightly towards the bone. It may help to place your thumb on the outside of the arm. Feel for 5 seconds before deciding there is no pulse.
CPR for babies 100 compressions per minute combined with artifical ventilation of 5 compressions to one breath. You should get CPR training from St. John Ambulance this is the most important measure you can learn to save a life. It doesn't take long to learn

Do a first aid course... you do the wrong thing on a baby you will probably kill it !!!!!!!!!
This is not the kind of thing you ask those who are not experts.
Ie hymlik manouver should destory a bay and my first instinct if I was choking would ba to smash myself into the nearest wall with all may force... imagine what that would do to a baby.
So go do a first AID course as I can bet your kid will get all sorts of injuries over time and any parent should know what to do and whilst your at it study up of sex, drugs, any posionous wildlife in the area etc etc

Yes that does sound right. Becuase she is small you cant push her chest in to release any blockage in the food or wind pipes.
Look up the red cross they have specific instruction on Child First Aid.
You would have to tip her up and hit the middle of her back quite firmly to release any blockage if you could not see it in her mouth.

if shes coughing let her be she'll get it out on her own-if shes making no noise then it depends on the childs weight or age-baby/infant you do a finger sweep into her mouth then hold her w/ her belly to your underarm w/ her head near your palm of your hand-then do back thrusts-im trying to remember my cpr class-hopefully this helps

Hi, what you have just written is correct. Be sure not to hit the baby too hard though.

quickly grab a large piece of food and then shove it down the childs throat this will distract them from choking and then hold the child upside down after that you should put your fingers down its throat to make it vomit up whatever it was choking on.
