If you are the seller, don't ship anything until you get the money order and it's cleared. Other than that, it's valid.

There are scams where a fake money order can be cashed, however, a few days later (usually after you ship the item), the bank that cashed the money order will call back to tell you that the check was fraudulent and that they need the money back. Be very careful. Have the bank do a detailed check on the the money order to make sure it is legit before sending the item. Tell the buyer that it will take at least 10 to 12 days before you will ship the item if they are going to send a money order.

I'd say no. I don't take anything but paypal. End of story. There are people who are really good at making fraudulent payments via money order / money gram / etc.... You never know. Don't trust too many people on online auctions. Protect yourself.

not very.....if you do accept a money order make sure you cash it before shipping the stuff....money order, certified checks etc. are easy to forge....just look at staples or one of them and you'll find that they sell business forms which include checks and stuff, people use these with their computers to make them look real.
