I would like to know what you think, not a non-answer. Before the universe was created, there was always god, so how could God always have existed?

As humans, there was life before us and there will be life after us. We also have a genealogical history, and we can trace our history back to one source. In Christianity, that one source is God, but how can God always have existed?

In short, how can something exist from nothing? God always was and he was here before everything else, but how is that possible?

This's a very good question, but the answer can't come from simple human, our understanding is too short for this matter. Use this as an example, God is energy energy exist and can be created or destroyed this energy named God is every where and all around, it was, it is and it will be for ever. We are part of something bigger. The best you can do is have respect for everything and everyone. Do not think in God as something far He's inside you, in the children's laughter, in flower, in the ocean, etc. God is there to see him all you have to do is wish it.

The universe (including time itself) can be shown to have had a beginning.

It is unreasonable to believe something could begin to exist without a cause.

The universe therefore requires a cause, just as Genesis 1:1 and Romans 1:20 teach.

God, as creator of time, is outside of time. Since therefore He has no beginning in time, He has always existed, so doesn’t need a cause.

Revelation 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

I don't know if this qualifies as a non-answer, but this one is what God has told us, and I think it's the best. God is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. He was, and is, and evermore shall be.

God is infinity.......... nothing "created" God. It's outside our human comprehension to say that something ALWAYS has been there and there was no "start point" of when it came into existence. But being outside our comprehension or not, that's just how it is.

God can explain all about it when we get to Heaven.

Your question implies a misunderstanding most people fall into.

God is NOT a creation, God is The Creator. If you can successfully understand this simple difference, then you know that this Creator is the Creator, and that it is not logical to ask your question.

It is just like asking : Who preceded the 1st place winner in the race ?

Another approach to answer such a question is to realize that the cause and effect (causer) logic we use to explain the existence of things apply to everything except to Almighty God, because God created this logic and God is above all logic or laws.

I hope you got my answer.

The physical world has always existed. Matter is eternal. As the law of physics states: matter cannot be created neither destroyed, it only transforms. Therefore, matter cannot be created. God's task is not to create matter. This is irrational. It could be a religious belief, but irrational nevertheless.

God is a soul. Souls are eternal . In this universe nothing is created nor destroyed, it only transforms in time... and of course, time is not linear bit cyclical, then everything makes sense.

God's task is to purify souls. After all, we are eternal souls too, which believe that we are bodies.

God is, by His very nature, Eternal, i.e. beginning-less. He did not arise out of 'nothing', nor did He create this world out of 'nothing'.

There are three eternal noumena or classes of being:

-God
-Soul
-Nature

These three have always existed and will continue to exist for all eternity. Therefore, as God created neither Nature nor the Soul, the difficulty of your question is based rather on a misconception of the nature of God.

As far as we know, there was never a nothing; the raw elements of creation have always existed. If you put a face on that something and call it "God", it's more difficult to believe it has been here forever. It's more believable that the Cosmos has always been around.

"Forever" in the bible usually means "for a long time in the future", but "eternal" means having no beginning and no end.

There are two possible answers.
1. God doesn't exist and did not exist before everything else.
2. Our human minds are not yet ready to understand god's ways.

I'd go for 1, but it's your decision.

I could tell you but you would not understand your mind is not capable, God is not a human being so you do not have the capacity to understand how God has been able to always be in existance with no beginning! I'm not meaning any disrespect to you, but it's just the way it is

Your question is a good one, and Christianity doesn't address this issue. Most religions, with official man-made rules and regulations, don't address God.

God is in the world of nature that we see. If you can get outside on a truly dark night and see the stars, or spend time with the beauty of nature in all its forms, you begin to appreciate the nature of God and some sense of the answer to this question will come to you.

Be at peace.
