I would simplify it in one term: Platonic Love I was like you a few years ago, thought i couldn't forget a guy. I was in that condition for a few months, then met another guy that was cooler. You keep saying she's beautiful. Is that the only thing that you find attractive about her? Also, you never really really really talked to her as far as i understood from what you wrote. You just talked to her on the 24th of April, 3 days ago .__. Therefore, you don't KNOW her, you don't know much about her personality directly and she doesn't know you either. In order to get into a relationship, the two people must know each others. You can't expect her to have fallen in love at first sight with you exactly like it happened to you towards her. Also, asking questions about the guy she likes is not really a good way to approach a girl, especially if the level of confidence between the two people isn't high. Good luck forgetting her :)

It takes a very very long time to get over someone you deeply feel for, it is not something that will pass with weeks but the pain will ease and as time goes on you will only reminisce about what you had every so often.

I don't think time mends a broken heart completely but it does help.

My dear, I do not know how old you are, but I am 49 and I have had a few experiences in my life.
You are lucky that she was honest enough to tell you the truth and not to accept your proposal out of pity for you.
If you are young, believe me, the pain will go away in time, I know. It may not be easy for you now, but you will heal and you will find someone else who will truly love you back.
If this is your first love, it will stay with you, because, it was just that your first love, but the pain will lessen, in time. Just let time be the healer.
Good luck and be good to yourself

That is basically up to you, but it is certainly possible. If you have proposed and she has said no, I think that tells you something about what's going on, and what's in your best interest to do. A rejection like that is basically the precursor to a break-up, so perhaps it's time for you to find someone else.

Like the person you first kissed, you will never forget her. But time will make the hurt go away. It really does. Eventually you will move on and in time find the right person who is meant to say yes.

...No, I don't think you can't totally erase her out of your mind...but surely you can erase her out of your heart. Now..the question here is the "Why did she reject you?" ...may be she just needed time, may be she hates sorprises, well...only you know the why..now if she told you she didn't love you that is definitely a very good reason to try to forget her.
