Almost all of the multitude of answers you see here, you can ignore. Many of them are from ignorant people who have never experienced either beer or weed in their lives and are simply spouting off all of the anti-everything pseudo-religious epithets that have been drilled into their heads since birth.

To answer your question, both are ok in moderation, however in the grand scheme of things, beer is probably worse. I hate to say it, as I love beer of all kinds (ales, lagers, stouts, etc.) and I rarely smoke weed, I used to quite a bit a couple years ago. Beer impairs your judgement to the point where you can be a danger to yourself and others. It doesn't inherently make you aggressive, but in excess it reduces your judgement, inhibitions, and ability to operate machinery such as a car. It can also damage your liver and one can have alcohol poisoning, and it can be addictive.

As for weed, it's not addictive, does not cause lung cancer, and has never been the sole cause of a death. It has been speculated to be a gateway drug, but there is no hard evidence proving this. It does affect your reactions and judgement, but that all depends on the type or quality of weed. Most frequently the only negative affects are due to additives such as laced pot or pot treated with such things as Raid to add weight. If weed were legalized these things could be regulated and controlled. It should be noted that when used in excess, weed can have a detrimental affect on short term memory, but doesn't do permant damage to brain cells.

Well, since weed is illegal, I'd have to say that one is worse. Beer can be consumed in moderation without having an affect on you. Weed will get you high, even if you just hit it once. However, too much beer is just as bad as weed is.

Both have the potential to be damaging if taken in excess or chronically (pardon the pun).

Beer actually does have some long term health benefits when consumed in mdoeration. Overuse and abuse can lead to serious liver damage, impaired brain function, memory problems, kidney damage, etc.

Weed is relatively benign from a health perspective when consumed infrequently, and does appear to have some medical uses, although it is not clear that it is better or more expedient than other potential treatments. If taken to excess or overused, it can create memory and cognitive problems at the least, as well as potential lung damage.

beer. easily.
it nutritionally worse (kills your liver, fattening)
it impairs you worse (a lot harder to drive while drunk)

all weed does is kill some brain cells ( just like beer)
there is also no connection between smoking marijuana and lung cancer.
