My daughter asked me this question and I don't know what to tell her. She has been talking to one guy for a long time and they like each other, he says he'd rather talk to her then his current girlfriend and my daughter also has a current boyfriend who wants her to stop talking to the 1st guy, should she?

I dont mean any rudeness. you're daughters boyfriend is holding you're daughter back by not letting her talk with who ever she wishes. It's wrong and very disrespectful. My dad does it to my mom, he cuts her off of her friends..its wrong and ive been it with my own eyes..so please tell you're daughter its alright to talk with the boy..and if her boyfriend doesnt like it then he doesnt deserve her.

I can understand where he is coming from. He feels he is not the only one who enjoys a sense of intimacy with you. The are the other guys who are in your life. I don't know how old you are and can't pinpoint where you are in this relationship but when a man devotes him self to a woman he will forsake all others and be with the one he loves. After all cheating does not only require sleeping with some one. Truth is he is not happy and it will be him which will want the break. He case is not unusually. Most men is his position would feel the same way. Just remember if he is looking for a long term relationship he will find it in other women and not hold on to the unhappiness he is feeling while being with you.

Mr. Chivalry says, "If they were friends before the daughter started seeing the guy, then he has no right to try and break a friendship. If he acts a fool, then it's best that the daughter ends the relationship. It's her decision, though."

Mr. Chivalry has spoken.

Nope.
Tell your daughter it's actually fun to have another perspective. Sometimes there are things that you prefer to share with certain person. I do have one other guy to talk to. When we talk on the phone, it usually takes longer time then when i'm talking to my boyfriend. He doesn't like i'm calling my friend but i keep doing it. Someone you can talk to is hard to find. So she better keep him...

Tell her she should live her life for herself - not for the sake of another. If the new boyfriend doesn't like it, let him move on.
