to further explained the topic above about clearing the warrant of your arrest, i want to know if theres other way of clearing it by simply just calling the police agency and asking them for me to pay my fines over the phone so i dont have to show up in court. I dont know how it is handled here in around the houston area, but if you can tell me if i can do that or would i need to hire a lawyer?thank you.

A warrant is not like an "actual arrest" which is public record. If the fine is paid, the warrant may be dismissed. One could be "taken into custody" even when paying the fine, and required to appear in court.. Best to call. They may cooperate with you.

If the charges are dismissed, even by a judge, this remains on file.

In case of a "dismissal", the arrest remains on file. To remove it, is expensive, with an attorney. The record will include dismissal.

I had a warrent out on me once, I had to pay the fine plus 100.00 for the cost of the warrent and court cost. This was in Houston No need to hire an attorney, you can also make payments on the tickets. Call first if you want.
