why is it flies always fly around centre of a room?

why in summer when we have flies in our homes do they always circle around the centre of a room and i dont mean when a light is on i mean even in daylight

LoL ! Good one! I have never thought of that before.
It's eather flyin around in cicles or it's flying into the window. Maybe they fly around in circles like that because they flew into the window to many times. ****! I haven't got a clue!

I think when a room has a fan running up in the middle, then fan exults air down in the centre and then just goes up while reaching the walls of the room and the pattern becomes permanent for the fan to continue giving air. In the centre near floor, air never reaches with pressure but leaves in between towards the walls. that's why flies are mostly present in the middle of the room.
Other is that centre of the room always remain somewhat cool while all or any side of the room can immediately become hot / warm depending on the sun's side.

Try this: At night, if you have a fly in your house, turn out all the lights in the house and turn on a porch light. Then hang a white sheet outside the door that is visible from inside. Then have everyone make erratic arm movements or wave towels around. You will see the fly going toward the light and out the door.

I have heard that you can hand a ziploc bag of water at your doorway and the flies won't come in. I don't know if that's true or not, but it's worth checking out, I think.

Flies have many eyes and they know a wall when they see one. So they don't go flying at full speed into a wall right? I've never seen that.

Once in a while they will buzz around windows cuz they can see through it.
