Your question seems to direct to yourself!
I dont think I was brainwashed by my parents, and I certainly not brainwashing my children.
To have a faith is to experience it. If you say "when you do good deeds, good things will come to you" and this only means something when it does really happen to you.
I am a Muslim myself and I never think Islam is more truth than any other religions simply because every religions had came for different people at different times where it has served the best interest of the people of these times.
It just happened that the Holy Quran told us that the message of Islam suits universally for anybody, anywhere and anytime to the last days. This is not the same as saying there is more truth in Islam than any other.
And as about the truth, I believe in the truth that when my heart likes it, I will believe in it. As about right or wrong, I use my knowledge. There is more to Iqra, you told by the Holy Quran to read; this means to know, i.e. to gain the knowledge. And when you know, you can decide whether it is right or wrong.

If you intend to understand your son or daughter and she\he has between 2.5 and 7 years then a ideal process is this https://tr.im/Dx5zc , Children Learning Reading.
The bonus that Children Learning Reading program has over a whole term recognition learning course is that it can teach it's strategies in short and satisfying slow steps.
With Children Learning Reading program you and your son or daughter will have a way to pay satisfying time together while they learn how to read. No forcing your son or daughter to sit through tedious ‘check marathons ', the instructions are so small that they are easy to match into your day-to-day routine. The whole course includes 50 instructions and the instructions are designed in a way so it will not matter in the event that you skip several days between them. So your youngster can carry on on the way to examining success even when “life gets in the way”'.

I'm Buddhist, but my wife and I are educating our children on all faiths. They will grow to form their own opinions, and when they are ready, they will pick the faith that most conforms to their own personal beliefs (if they haven't done so already). What's the old saying? "And the truth shall set them free."
One of the most irritating things I observe is religions that try to constantly force people to conform to their beliefs. It's like being forced to convert at gunpoint. The thing about fanatics is that there is no middle ground, no compromise, no patience, and no understanding. Everything is in absolutes.
I do believe in a God, but a God that is compassionate and full of infinite wisdom, not a God that is going to smite someone because they didn't read a particular book or conform to a particular faith. I think God would be accepting of anyone who has led a good and moral life. A God that is willing to help you to find him when you are ready, and patient enough to wait for you when are not.

I give my children the same freedom my parents gave to me, the choice to visit and research all religions or no religion. The right to make their own choices. They ask what my views are and I tell them and remind them they do not have to think like I do, I only ask them to think and search for their own truth.
It doesn't matter which path a person takes to seek the truth, all those paths end at the same finish line, just like all the roads leading into a town end you up in that town. It is only arrogance that causes this who is right and wrong attitude. It is mankind of all religions that has distorted the religions.

if we believe something for ourselves, why would we want our children to believe something different? it doesn't make sense. If you felt a certain way about something, like that the earth is round, why would you teach your kids that the earth is flat? Just because that might work better for them?
Now apply this to something like religion which *most* religions teach that that particular religion is the right one and only people of that religion will be saved. If you believe in that religion, why would you say to your kids, "I'm *this* religion but you should be *this other* religion because it might be the right one.
If a parent felt that strongly about a different religion other than the one that they were, common sense dictates they would all become the new religion.

We are simply telling our children what we believe when we explain religion to them, and as they grow older this should be made clear. God gave us all a brain and once we reach adulthood, trying to discover the truth and make our own minds up regarding religion becomes the responsibility of each and every one of us. Blindly following others, ie., our parents, teachers and religious leaders, is a serious error.

Parenting is one of the teaching of God to man, we should teach our children how to worship God, and this is the big problem of the world facing right now. Parent are teaching thier son to be good lawyer, accountant, artist, singer, dancer etc., whatever, but leaving the facts of how to served and worship God.
Religion of the parent play a greater role in building the mind of the children passing it from generation to generation. Religion is the dividing force between man and God. Religion contradicts what God says to man, because it it man made.
God did not build religion, man does, God build a church through Jesus so much so that all those who will accept the truth shall be gathered in one place (geographically) called the church, the door to the kingdom of heaven. Religion is not the door to salvation. It is Jesus who is the door of salvation! Is there somethng wrong with this? Religion is a mixture of lies and truth, because no one dare explore and seek God. Our God is a personal God, he deals with us individually according to our level of maturity.
If you say Islam is more correct, please I beg you to read the Qur'an intensively, the hadith, al bakara, before you make any conclusion. The Bible is the only book that has been attack for centuries because they do teach spiritual things.
In every arguments, there is always sides to listen to, My side, your side, the other side, and the right side which is God.
Why did the muslim forbade their followers to read the Bible? and why did the christian allow their follower to read the Qur'an? To distinctively see who is telling the truth and telling a lies.
God word will not contradict itself, it is being attested or proven by another scripture to confirm its veracity.
Is there a christian terrorist? Terrorism is denomination. The Bible says "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that is not ashamed of, rightly dividing the word of truth? 1 Tim 2:15
Living a good standard of morality does not conform to the standard of God. because it is all works and salvation is not works alone, it has for it ingredients "Faith" work and faith goes side by side. Religion contradicts the character of God
You must be changed inside not outside, and the outside will reflects what is inside of that individual.
What you have seen today in christianity is that, its teaching has been adulterated by some pagan teaching of religious denomination. Read the history of the church how the scripture has been twisted to serve ones belief.

i am a spiritualist and i tell my children about my faith " when they ask "
i also teach them about other faiths and encourage them to be individuals and make up their own mind on what they believe or don't believe
i would not like to think that my children would choose my faith simply because its my faith ... i found my faith by asking questions about myself and my children have to do the same or we are all just sheep
there is no " one " there are many and what we find is the " one " that is right for us through personal choice , similarities in belief system and logic .. at least that's the way it should be :o)

Most parents have a desire t o teach their offspring a code of ethics, moral values, good manners etc etc. Any religion will suffice if it is scrutinised properly and with an open mind, my husband and I are of two different religions and I showed my son the good in both, so he will be a good person.

Does it really matter whos right? I believe that as long as you teach your child to be respectful, loving and have good morals then they are set for life. If you want to teach them about God, teach them the basics. Let them following and have their own beliefs.
