Yeah, I know we can prove this, but my question is hypothetical

If the pope, and all the heads of religion stood up infront of every one, and informed that it has been proven beyond doubt that everything you believed about religion was untrue.

Would you still believe??

If so WHY???

People will still find something to believe in.

Why don't you prove it, anyway? What's the need for a hypothetical question?

On the other hand, please remember: God existence does not depend on the belief or disbelief of Pope and heads of religions. Its the other way around. Regardless of one's faith, God exists. You and I exist and have a reason to believe because God exists.

no i would not believe in something if proof was given , that would just be silly wouldn't it
i don't believe in god purely through blind faith but have had my own personal proof , in fact i was sitting on the fence leaning towards atheism before hand
i would not take the word of the pope for this to make me believe that god did not exist so i am unsure how this proof would be given and how positive and factual the proof was
for now though my proof and logic says otherwise , so that's cool

If God never exist?? then I will still believe that their is still a God who guide us in everyday life... If still believe even it is already been prove then nothing will be lost about me... if i will not believe their is something lost inside of me... that is the love and respect of human.... and what if, if they tell us that God never exist but what they say not the reality and they are just being told by God to test our to Him and to test us how deep we believe???

I would think that a lot of people on here would stop believing, because they are educated. But all across the world there are lots of uneducated people. They would continue to believe in religion. They would also continue killing us for not believing as they do.

It would be insane.....

This will never be done.... religion is a form of control and will always be..without religion there will be chaos.. people are naturally evil and need somekind of fear to hold them down... not alot out there who are naturally good..
there is alot on this subject but answering this question alone would not be enough..

but as for your question i already believe religion to be untrue...

yes.

being religious is not just a religion or something to believe in.

it is a set of common values and subscribes to a way of living

even if god or allah or buddha dont exist, religion will always exist, maybe just in a different form

If you could prove that air does not exist , I would still breath. Truth is still truth. The wisdom of man is foolishness in Gods eyes.

I have a relationship with God, I know him and he knows me, I love God and always will. God is more real that anything else in the universe.

they only thing you can prove is that a religion is wrong... in order to prove there is no god you have to define what god is. i have as yet to find someone, scientific/religious, who can give a valid definition.
but remember, if you can discount god, you will then have to discount the goddess, and you will have a much harder time with that one.
