He/she did not, because his heart would be hardened and wouldn't care what God or the Holy Ghost thought. Their are only 2 sins that are not forgiven, 1 besides the latter and it can only be done if you were already in heaven and that is to leave Paradise after you been there.

The sin you are speaking of could only be committed when Jesus was here on earth. Jesus said that the people who claimed that the miracles He performed were done by the power of the Devil and not by the power of God were blaspheming the Holy Spirit. In their hard hearts they knew that God was among them but they refused to acknowledge it and so failed to gain salvation through faith in Christ.
Today a person cannot commit that specific sin because Jesus is no longer physically present. Some people think that if a person today has doubts about some so called "spiritual gift" another believer has like speaking in tongues, and they express the opinion that it is really a seducing spirit causing this manifestation, then somehow they are "blaspheming the Holy Spirit".
That's complete nonsense. John the beloved told us:
1 John 4:1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.
In other words, there is a whole lot of difference between someone wondering if some mere human being who is speaking in an unknown language is actually under the divine influence of the Holy Spirit or possibly under the influence of some other spirit and someone saying that JESUS was casting out devils by the power of the Devil.
The only sin that can't be forgiven today is to fail to come through faith to Christ.

Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven in this world nor the world to come. It is speaking a word against the Holy Spirit or calling the works of the Lord Jesus the works of the devil. Once it is none there will be no more desire to do the Work of God or no more worry about oneself or anything else. Matthew 12:31-32. So I don't believe your friend has done this. From what you are saying it sounds like your friend may have just had a hard time and got mad and tryed to blame God, this is human, but God in His Great Love knows this and will forgive this. Tell your friend to stop letting satan use this one sin against them and to keep on working for the Lord.

To blaspheme is to reject or degrade the things of God. Since the number one work of the Holy Spirit is to bring people to the place where they accept Christ and are saved, to blaspheme the Spirit would be to refuse and reject salvation.
1 john 5:16 talks about the same sin, calling it "a sin unto death." Meaning it is a sin from which they never repented. They died still in that unbelief therefore there is no forgiveness.
God can forgive all sin, but only when it is confessed and repented of by the person. The reason blaspheme against the Spirit can not be forgiven is that the person doing it will not repent. So if your friend wants to repent and be forgiven, then he has not committed that unpardonable sin. If he has never given his heart to Jesus, he needs to start there. If he has, then he just needs to confess and receive forgivness for anything else he may have done so he will be free not to repeat it.

Rejecting God is blaspheming the Spirit and it is the only sin that is not forgiven. I do not think this is something your friend did by getting mad once and telling God to leave and take the Holy Spirit with him.
I believe this happens when someones heart is hardened against God and they have rejected God many times and can no longer be reached.
I am no expert but why would God, leave his position over everything, come to earth as a baby, live life as a human, become a servant and sacrifice only to reject someone.
God would have everyone come to know him, he loves everyone so much he died for them. I think your friend will be fine.

Blasphemy is the crime of denying the precepts of the religion in power. Under Islam, and in Puritan New England and under the Inquisition the penalty was (and in the case of Sharia is) death. I wouldn't worry too much about what one or all (since they are indivisible) of the Three Persons of God might do in response to perceived blasphemy since unlike the judges of yore God can see through blasphemy and know repentence.
Lots of people worry about getting right with God only at the threshold of death. Sort of like Saint Augustine: "Grant me chastity and continence, but not yet". Repentance, for believers, works wonders whenever it happens.

Blaspheme of the Holy Spirit...the unforgivable sin mentioned in the Gospels is simply turning your back on God. Even to say, My sin is so bad that God will never forgive me, may qualify since to say so is to deny that God can forgive or that Jesus' sacrafice is inadequate.
A person who is contrite of heart and truly repentant is not blaspheming and can return to the Father, through the Son, just as Jesus taught in the Parable of the Prodigal Son.
The whole thing boils down to this: WE separate ourselves from God by our choice and our action. God makes a way for us to return but we must do it. If we decide to come back home, He will welcome us.

The unforgivable sin can only be done by God's elect by not letting the Holy Spirit to speak through them when they are delivered up to Satan.
Mar 13:11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.

Tell your friend that the ONLY unforgiveable sin is the one for which no forgiveness is asked!
If your friend has repented and asked God to forgive her/him, then forgiveness has been granted. A little penance to set her/him on a truer path to God wouldn't hurt. But if she/he doesn't want to go that route, God will take care of that problem in Purgatory.
And remind your friend that God's love is infinite, just like everything else about Him. She/he CANNOT get outside of infinity. She/he can only ignore it. NOT the brightest of ideas.

It's a fine line to know.
Only God really knows who has committed this.
Anyone speaking evil of the workings of the Holy Spirit/Ghost, has committed blasepheme of the Holy Ghost.
But again, it's not for us to judge.
The Spirit will confirm it to each believer.
Looks to me like you have never recieved the Baptism of the Holy Ghost...?
