You can erase your history in Internet Explorer by deleting the temporary Internet files.

To delete your temporary Internet files: click Tools, Internet Options (OR click Start, Control Panel. In Classic view, double-click Internet Options). Select the General tab. Under ‘Temporary Internet files,’ click the Delete Cookies button. Internet Explorer will prompt you to confirm this choice. Click OK.

To clear your trail of Web addresses you have visited, click the 'Clear History' button. Then click Yes when you're prompted to confirm. If you want to delete specific pages from the history instead, click the History button in Internet Explorer's main window. You will see a sidebar listing the sites that you've visited. To erase an entry, right-click it and select Delete.

To clean out the cache, click the Delete Files button. Mark the ‘Delete all offline content’ checkbox and then click OK. When you are prompted to confirm, click OK.
