it is somewhat correct...it also depends on your imune system as well...

Antibodies to HIV are produced by the body and can be detected in the blood about 2–4 weeks after exposure to the virus.

It can actually take up to 6 weeks for hiv antibodies to show up in a test.

antibodies reach the highest level in 4 to 5 weeks ... and for this reason if someone is doubting to have HIV he have to do the test 5 weeks after the sexual activity...
